So what if it doesn't match the original version? Unless you're the creator of the original work your opinion is worth jack squat. Sure, I have winced at some of the bizarre shit I've seen, like sexy Beetlejuice, but I have no right to tell someone that making a thin, pretty, anime version of a canonically chubby, gross, smelly character is some kind of unforgivable sin. That isn't my character and I really doubt Tim Burton cares about some kid's internet art. Likewise I don't think the creators of Steven Universe care if someone on Deviant Art draws a skinny version of their character. People can draw whatever the fuck they want and if you have the time and energy to put that much work into being offended by fucking fanart then maybe you should reevaluate your priorities.
