I confess that I do not actually believe I am a fox. At least not THAT kind of fox :Y

A more serious confession: When The Company started to allow us to wear jeans everyday, I pretty much gave up on ironing my shirts for work. Nobody seems to care.

I confess to not having ironed a single piece of clothing in several years. And also that when I have tried, I am really bad at it.

I use Caps Lock instead of Shift for capitalization.

I have no words to express my disappointment.

I have a friend who does this, as well as typing one letter at a time, and I promise you he will be the death of me.

I also confess I'm probably the biggest wimp/pussy/coward/otherfavoriteword I know, and also the biggest hypocrite I know, because I tease a friend about being those yet I'm faaaar worse.

instead of doing my laundry on my days off, i leave my work clothes on the floor until the day i go back to work and scramble to do it before i have to be ready to leave.  i tried doing it the night before once, but it takes too long and i ended up staying up late waiting for it.  and doing it on some other day that's not the very last minute would just be ridiculous.

I confess having staid up till it got light out, after going to see a friend's band play, then out to a cozy dive bar, then over to a little after-hours party from which we emerged tipsy and spacey...and am just now having the first meal of the day. Or, night. Spaghetti with marinara and mushrooms, and garlic bread, and some ginger ale...comfort foods.

Is one of them something in your avi pic that's been cropped away, so we can't see? :V

But just so ya know, your posts very often have a very sharp with, and make me laugh and feel better, and that counts for a lot, the ability to make others feel better.

Other confession: My mate traded a half pack of cigarettes with this guy at work for a Playstation One, and some games...and I have to admit, it's pretty fun. He also has a PS2, that's the most modern, but I don't like how the action in the games gets interrupted by so much babbling. But playing R-type and some other games on thePS1 is a lotta fun, and some of the arcade games, like William's,'Bubbles', where you're in this giant sink. I think I will dig out the old Nintendos, and hook those up, maybe even see how much an early Sega system costs...maybe I will become a gamer, after all, just of older, simpler style games.

You do shitty doodles to boost your self esteem and social standing amongst furries?

(...I like your shitty doodles)

believe it or not a lot of >probably the majority of us actually< us furries are part of the LGBTQ community, so there is plenty of people out here like you. my dad was pretty anti-everything for about 5 years until i turned 17, and he realized that i was still a functioning output to society even if i did choose to date a dude. it's a shame that your mom thinks that way, religion has always confused me in how hateful it makes people. hopefully she becomes more understanding and you can spread your wings a bit more.

If you're looking around for a new belief system, may I recommend Atheism? :D We'll accept anybody.

no im also a christain but furry-ism (?) and bisexuality are compatible, i think, but fam thinks ootherwise

Depends how you translate the bible, but it's pretty clear on the subject unfortunately. There are some rather nasty versus, especially in Leviticus. It's one of the main reasons I dislike the book intensely. That and the stuff about not eating pig-meat. Ah, let's face it, if you like sausage, literally or metaphorically, then Leviticus doesn't like you.

O'course, since I'm an Atheist, I don't take any of the Bible at face value, but that doesn't mean you can't believe SOME of the Bible. In fact I'd say you'd be hard-pressed to find any normal person who believes and follows every letter of the Bible. Tattoos for instance are banned. Women aren't allowed to talk in church - that might be a good one to get your mother with, it's 1 Corinthians 14:34. Oh, and one of my favourites: wearing clothes made from two different kinds of material. Who's to say the bits about gay people weren't added by homophobes, or just looking for reasons to persecute other faiths and cultures such as Greece or Sumer where people were a lot less inhibited.

Furryism, incidentally, isn't prohibited by the bible as far as I'm aware, so long as you're not lusting after real animals - especially your neighbour's ass for some reason - or those naughty heathen animal-headed gods from Egypt.

I see the some of the atheist members have jumped all over this already. Anyway, there are a couple of Christian bisexual and homosexual members lurking about, too. Christianity isn't Judaism, and your sexuality isn't incompatible, though sex in general is a problem for some people. You should just worry about being right with God, what people think of you isn't important.

If you need to talk to your mother about it, try starting from there and don't worry about being defensive. I've not been able to change my family's mind, but it usually isn't hard to reach an understanding. It just takes a lot of patience for both sides. Particularly yours.

Best of luck.

On that, at least, we can agree.

We have a few furry gay/bi Christians on this forum, actually (wow, what a wild combination!). So there are people who do find it compatible with their belief, if it works in the long run is beyond me.

But then again the afterlife and all higher moral is beyond anyone.

Just keep your head up and know you can be different from your mom if it comes down to it, keep it civil (I'd voice any disagreements when youre an independant adult though, most families do exert some kind of control on their children in what values they want them to attain).

The way I see it if you walk the right path in life, and you get a few things wrong that are somehow wrong it shouldnt be the worlds largest issue. Much of the chosen people in the bible dealth with some shitty personal life choices like polygamy (mainly harem where the women weren't valued), so even if they were good people in some ways they made mistakes in others. Being in love with someone of the same sex is probably the least awful thing you could do to another person and I wouldnt be able to wrap my head around why this isnt a forgiven fault in comparison to the actual faults of humanity. I dont really think humans are meant to be perfect or right, but should mainly seek a higher sense of moral ground and better themselves in life.

I confess to thinking that 'Overwatch' was not a video game, but the term for when other people watched others playing video-games, like on a stream, You Tube, &c.

Until now, I had no idea, until somebody explained, that it was this wildly popular game, and not this trend of watching others play games.

I am on Discord now, so modern Fossa is modern.

I confess that i go through every furry site that I'm on just to see the reasons people got banned for the first ten minutes im on there, minus this one. read through the list and it got to hard trying to find out because you have to research the actual site versus having the reason just put there

I mean really... Yellow? Ewww. Ugly color. No thanks.

Blue master race, ftw!

 p much same

my related confession is I like porn but I'm a complete fucking sperglord about even tangential association with my characters and lewdness so I heavily downplay things

I also confess that I'm completely fucking crippled as far as social skills go and even when people give me compliments on my maps (even a guy who was a huge inspiration to me early on chimed in) I just freeze up and go mute and I've noticed nobody comments anymore and they probably think I'm an asshole

I'm bad at remembering certain details. Like when I see a movie, I'll remember the plot, the underlying social commentary, and the special effects... but I might forget character names and dialog. I'm even bad at remembering the names of actors, although I never forget a face. Science fiction holds a special appeal to me me because of the implications and possibilities. I find myself inspired to dream up alternative scenarios and new technologies, but I don't always remember the stuff that's supposed to be official canon. As such, I'm not very good at being a geek.

In some ways, I'm the opposite of a Sheldon Cooper type character (hey... I remember his name... cool beans), despite being highly intelligent and socially awkward myself.

The thing is, my awkwardness seems to stem more from introversion and mild (self-diagnosed) social anxiety than an actual lack of social skills. Sometimes, people even call on me to resolve *their* interpersonal issues, which drains my energy and (if it goes too long) stresses me out. For the most part, I like to keep to myself or with close friends & family. That's where I'm in my element, where I can be animated and engaged, or just sit around reading a book if the spirit moves. I can also be somewhat of a party animal under the right circumstances, however, which is seemingly out of character. I've yet to figure that one out. Although there are times when I'd like to be able to say that I have Asperger's, or something along those lines, the shoe doesn't fit. It's more accurate to say that I'm just weird.
