Troj
Depends on the university and its culture, I suppose. Certainly, if enough students get hopped up about an issue, they can compel the university to confront it or address it, for good or for ill. (I'm reminded of how the students students helped to drag out and increase the whole Ward Churchill drama-storm back in the day at CU.) Not to mention, the media has learned that EHMEGHERD CRYBABY SJW MILLENNIALS-type stories are automatic clickbait gold. As a result, legitimate students grievances get warped into weird whiny complaints, or a tiny cabal of whiners at some college suddenly get to represent the entire student body, once the story hits the presses. Anyone catch the current kerfuffle at Oberlin? I applied to Oberlin back in the day--and didn't get in, because my grades and liberal cred weren't up to snuff--so the story didn't surprise me.
