It's officially on my list of places to go and people to meet one day.

Right next to meeting up with Joel for...reasons.

I think Joel is in the midwest according to Onnes' map. We could have half the forums converge on the midwest and all meet there.

That'd be pretty awesome. Affording a ticket to fly out there sounds horrible but I'm sure I can save up enough pennies.

Spent all my money on imaginary houses out in North Korea.

If you can spare the time and wanna save money, save up for a greyhound and enjoy the natural beauty of America/being stranded on a disgusting bus for 20hrs

Roommate isn't around the rest of the month and wants to put an invite out for this weekend at our place. This is fine with me, everyone is welcome, though it's short notice so I'll leave it to you guys. I can do an evening either this weekend or next -- doesn't matter too much to me.

I'll need to see how the rest of my week is shaping up tomorrow morning.

Okay, I'm floating Friday, April 29th at Pignogs place for the next meet up.

Failing that we could try for the Saturday or Sunday.

We will need a noodle based dinner item.

We will eat Revates for dessert. Also we can finish killing people with machine of death.

Any new forum members who are in the Toronto are please feel free to chime in.

*hooks thread with $10 Zellers fishing rod and reels it back to pp.1*

i feel like a broken man on a halifax pier...

Still on for this Friday? Work bought us pad thai which was excellent. Could this be the next noodle dish? Alternatively I could make lasagna like I promised a month ago.

I'm just here to say something about bitcoins since we haven't had bitcoins for awhile. They're really bad. Thank you for listening.

Thank you Rev! It's important to keep the thread on topic. Don't be shy furrends -- posts about bitcoin in the Canadian economy are just as welcome here as pie and KD chat.

Yes. Friday is on like donkey kong.

The cake is going into production and should prove to be stunning.

I'll assume 7 PM at your Pignogs Place.

I will bring the Revates cake.

Lasagna would be excellent.

Please text Kazzoie as they seems to be infrequently on the forum lately.

Let me know if they are coming.

Also it would be lively to have the room mate and the vegan there.

I think we should do machine of death again and kill the remaining furries.

Last time everyone enjoyed it very much.

The question is, was it a pleasant surprise?

Hey everyone, Revates tasted exactly as we imagined they would.

Light, creamy, fluffy, and delicious.

I'd like to thank Revates for volunteering to be eaten at our meet up.

The funniest parts were seeing everyone hover around the cake taking pics of it with their phones.

Then there was the sing along with Revates and Kazooie singing together as we enjoyed the cake.

Good times indeed.

The next person to be eaten will be Endless / Nameless.

If anyone else feels like volunteering to be eaten please let us know.

We are all enjoying making the "cake-sonas" and eating them.

It is a fun way of including people who are too far away to get to the meet up in person.

Although I like to imagine that some day we can all meet up at a con or something.

Dare to dream right?

Cheers!

I'm quite honored actually :3

Sometime, if I'm ever somehow in that area when you're having a thing, I'd love to drop by.

Community Update!

I got distracted by the cake and forgot to mention that Pignog made a really nice home made lasagna for us all to have for dinner.

It was nice to have some real home cooking. Also rumour is there is a pasta machine on the way to the Pignog place so more noodles to come.

I'm already looking forwards to the next cake.

Yes timbits are bitcoins in Toronto, but only if you can convince the store vendor that you are Kathleen Wynne or Justintime Rudolph.

Welcome to the new and improved Canada and Bitcoin thread Mk II. These two topics are very important and closely related. The stated objectives of this thread are to discuss the following:

  • Toronto Meetups -- Several posters on the forum live in Toronto and sometimes we meet up for noodles and boardgames. We'd like to expand this to other activities too. If you live in the Greater Toronto Area (or you're planning a trip here), why not post here and join us?
  • Tim Hortons and other Canadiana -- Shitty coffee and cardboard pastries are a Canadian tradition. What is your favourite sugar garbage? Talking about Krispy Kreme or Robins Donuts is a bannable offence so watch it.
  • Canada's Emerging Bitcoin Economy -- The last thread got derailed by this topic so in good honest Canadian fashion we're going to accommodate it. Canada's economy is on the brink of collapse and it's all because our sexy new PM legalized weed or something. Some posters believe Bitcoin will save it; others do not.

God Save the Queen.

1) I am rommat.

11) I workd at Tim Hurtons. I still drink it. I like the apple fruiters!

\1) Bitcoins are in Snakes and Lattes and I have a keyfob that unlocks my car and also pays for my gas whenever I buy a bitcoin. It gets a little difficult to unlock when I am in a deadzone so I call CAA (Canada Automobile Anarchy donuts).

I am Pignog's Roommate.

This is Toronto's Timbit reserve. If someone ate both we would be bankrupt. They are both plain in order to preserve their devaluation in a predictable currency devaluation in times of economic stress.

these timbits have been in the apartment since move-in day. As you can see original are inedible and also not biodegradable..

Currency that counter-acts the old adage "when (all the stuff is not food) you will learn you can't (eat the money)"

When the last tree is cut down, the last fish eaten, and the last stream poisoned, you will realize that you cannot eat money... unless money is timbits

I've been thinking about @Endless/Nameless and what kind of filling they will have for their cake-sona.

For some reason I feel like they should have a delicious fruit filling.

I'm not sure why I feel this way.

If anyone has any suggestions on how they should taste please chime in.

I also feel he should be chocolatey. He's got that dark choloately feel.

I feel like I should be a neutral party in this, but I will say that chocolate is quite close to the color of what I am full of, if y'know what I mean.

Due to a social obligation I will be unable to attend TCAF on Saturday.

However, I will be able to go on Sunday. Also the vietnamese restaurant next to the strip joint has good noodles.

Yes, we might got to the maid cafe soon.
