DevilishlyHandsome49
Brought this topic up on the old forums, wanted to revive it. Anyone else get super self-conscious viewing a thread for too long? I immediately back out of a thread if I'm done posting or looking at it cause I don't want to seem like I'm just creepin there forever when my name is the only one in the "Recently Browsing" section. This is especially the case with the more, erm "suggestive" threads >.>
Toboe
Viewing a thread for weirdly long? Most likely opened in new tab and forgot about it. Besides, for "creeping forever" to stand out, someone would have to watch that Recently Browsing thing weirdly close.

Endless/Nameless
I think about this too. The "recently browsing" bit doesn't bother quite me as much, but I don't really like how it also shows up when you check the "online users" section, or you hover over a persons name. It's a fun way to spy on other people, but it makes me self-conscious at times. The thing that really annoys me though is that people can see who's viewed their profile. I'm constantly clicking on people's profiles by accident, and I'm always afraid I'll look like a creeper. I politely turned that feature off on my page.

And yeah I forgot about that hover feature >.<
Spot
I don't feel self-conscious or like a creep reading threads for too long at all. What does bother me is that I'll read enough retarded shit to make me dry reach and regret ever reading it in the first place.

DrDingo
On FAF, it used to list them as 'Users Browsing this Thread'. But it was inaccurate. I remember once leaving a thread, viewing FAF on a different computer 20 minutes later without logging in and still seeing my name. Sensibly, on Phoenix it says 'Recently Browsing' because it's otherwise pretty inaccurate. If I see a user on a list of recent users for a while, I don't think they're a creep. I think they're reading, or typing, or left the thread open in a different tab.

Hewge
Of course not! Welp... time to go ghost inside that one huge smut thread for no reason in particular.
Terminal7
Nope, It's not like stalking users. I'm only blankly staring into a ball of yarn. Could be boring - could be fun. Too many factors change why I stay in a thread.

Alexxx-Returns
I always click back on New Content or to the homepage after I've viewed a thread for this reason
ArielMT
I think it only shows you in a thread if it was the last page you started to load when another user starts loading the same thread. If you open links in new tabs, like I often do, then I think it shows only the status from the last tab that starts loading, even if it's not the last tab to finish loading. Also, misclicks. Also, profile pages are a genuine, non-creeper way to get back quickly to some threads from time to time.
AlastairSnowpaw
I don't really care about that stuff. I have way more shameless stuff that I do/post that doesn't bother me, so just being afk in thread is really not even something i thought about.
