Beast from Beauty and the Beast was cursed for 10 years. He has until his 21st birthday to break it. That means he, as an 11 year old, was cursed for not letting a stranger into his home at night when his parents were obviously nowhere to be found.

That enchantress is kind of a mean bitch.

'Ananasi' - a word creatively interpreted to mean 'Were-Spiders' by the tabletop RPG company White Wolf, actually means 'Pineapples'.

I think it was probably more rooted in the African folk tale of Anansi.

Oh I'm sure it wasn't intentional, it's just funny :D  I like it when words turn out to have bizarre meanings in other languages.

Like 'Hakuna Matata' in Ngata Maori means 'Insult the Crevice'

@Faust: Here's that bouncy Fossa, again!

Thought: I've really come to love English Muffins for breakfast. But in England, what do they call them? I mean, to distinguish them from other muffins? Wouldn't all muffins there be English Muffins?

You know, for all the talk about how millennials act so entitled, older people sure do act entitled in public.

Also, I'd just like to say this map is bananas.

If the pulp of a fruit can be considered the "meat" does that mean the juice is like blood? Are we fruit vampires?

That's what happens when you're bitten by a fruit bat.

I have an old and very, very BAD tabletop RPG book somewhere in my collection of bad games where one of the playable character types is 'Fructose Vampire'. They literally suck the juice out of lemons to survive. That said, the same game also featured were-hamsters, so it wasn't even the silliest option.

Why is there the phrase "funky fresh," when "funky" is also used to describe something smelly and not fresh at all?

Same reason that the words 'Awful' and 'Awesome' are opposites, even though they have the same linguistic root.
