SirRob
I was talking to someone on the FurAffinity forums and recommended this site, but they can't access it. They get this message: Quote This site can’t provide a secure connection phoenix.corvidae.org uses an unsupported protocol. ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH They mentioned that this was the only site where he's gotten that message. He also mentioned that he can access the site at work, and that his computer is old. Does anyone know why this would happen?
Ricky
Looks like this site uses TLS 1.2. Some sites will fall back to using older versions of TLS/SSL and it's possible this one doesn't. Maybe he can upgrade the browser he is using, or download a new one?

Vitaly
By the way, few days ago I noticed that this site is no longer accessible without using a proxy. No matter which browser I use it shows that the site is down.
ArielMT
Cloudflare's been having serious problems off and on the last few days.
Ricky
Cloudfare is a CDN. I doubt a proxy would help if they are down themselves, but it is very likely a hubaffecting internet traffic at a point somewhere in the route your packets are taking to get to that IP. It isn't always the CDN's fault or the hosting provider. The way DNS and routing work, it won't automatically fix itself in the event of a problem such as this. You could always do it manually via a proxy or a VPN, but the packets you send only have a source and destination IP that gets handled by the next gateway. It takes a bit of time for IP resolution information via DNS to get updated, it's actually setup at the domain level in the SPF record (I think) as the TTL (time to live). If it's too small, this affects site performance, since the DNS record would have to be queried all the time instead of a cache. So, even if they wanted to they wouldn't be able to go around the CDN (well, unless there are ways to "hack it" at the CDN level, I worked for one and found some awful convoluted approaches to fix this problem for the really big sites. If you called tech support they wouldn't have any idea what you are talking about, however and it wouldn't be something people would want to do all the time. It would cause more problems than it's worth).

It seems to have something to do with the connection's route through Denver.
Enigma
Getting this weird problem where I can't access the site while connected through my home internet connection. My phone can access it fine as long as I'm using my data.

There's been problems with CloudFlare's network in certain areas, so that could be the issue. @Vae said they got it working by using FireFox and a plugin called "one click proxy" or something, if I recall correctly. Thanks. I'll try that when I get home. Though that method won't work for my phone.
