I don't understand why you're acting like this is funny. It's annoying and is against the rules, stated as:

  • Don't post images or text pointlessly, plainly off topic, or just to fill space.

If some user nobody knew or cared about did this, you guys would be reporting it to the mods and throwing a fit about the mods not dealing with it fast enough. Oh, but I guess it's ok when someone mildly popular breaks the rules.

I dunno, I think he is pretty popular not just "mildly". Also people necro the threads all the time but its nice to have all the relevant topics contained to one instead of like 6 different threads (that people inevitably backlink to)

That's not the point. The point is that he's not adding anything relevant to the topic and he's doing it to try and be "funny" and it's obnoxious and against the rules, it shouldn't matter how popular a user is or not. A rule is a rule. What I'm trying to say is that it's hypocritical that people are just sitting here laughing at him doing this because he's popular. I Apparently I'm the bad guy party pooper for saying that.

Maybe I am a bit more invested than I want to admit. However, acting like a smug jackass in order to prove your point doesn't make you look good. I don't look good either.

"Hellooo Mr. Frog!" called the scorpion across the water, "Would you be so kind as to give me a ride on your back across the river?"

"Well now, Mr. Scorpion! How do I know that if I try to help you, you wont try to kill me?" asked the frog hesitantly.

"Because," the scorpion replied, "If I try to kill you, then I would die too, for you see I cannot swim!"

Now this seemed to make sense to the frog. But he asked. "What about when I get close to the bank? You could still try to kill me and get back to the shore!"

"This is true," agreed the scorpion, "But then I wouldn't be able to get to the other side of the river!"

"Alright then...how do I know you wont just wait till we get to the other side and THEN kill me?" said the frog.

"Ahh...," crooned the scorpion, "Because you see, once you've taken me to the other side of this river, I will be so grateful for your help, that it would hardly be fair to reward you with death, now would it?!"

So the frog agreed to take the scorpion across the river. He swam over to the bank and settled himself near the mud to pick up his passenger. The scorpion crawled onto the frog's back, his sharp claws prickling into the frog's soft hide, and the frog slid into the river. The muddy water swirled around them, but the frog stayed near the surface so the scorpion would not drown. He kicked strongly through the first half of the stream, his flippers paddling wildly against the current.

Halfway across the river, the frog suddenly felt a sharp sting in his back and, out of the corner of his eye, saw the scorpion remove his stinger from the frog's back. A deadening numbness began to creep into his limbs.

"You fool!" croaked the frog, "Now we shall both die! Why on earth did you do that?"

The scorpion shrugged, and did a little jig on the drownings frog's back.

"I could not help myself. It is my nature."

Then they both sank into the muddy waters of the swiftly flowing river.

Self destruction - "Its my Nature", said the Scorpion...

well it's not so much that it's not being enforced, but most of us were asleep

as a side note, necro'ing threads isn't actually against the rules if the new content is relevant or adds to the discussion. not saying that it did but if we're going to start backseat modding citing rules, at least know the rule you're citing..

by the way, backseat modding is actually against the rules:

I didn't cite any rules...?

I just asked ppl to be nicer since the person being mocked is a minor? As far as I was and still am aware no one I directed that to was breaking rules lmao

Like are you really this annoyed with me for asking people to be nice to a child
