With that many pilgrims, there is simply not enough space or time to perform these sacrifices so in the past a system of paper coupons and arbiters was set up. Today, this system is computerized! The system routes the request to an available abattoir queue and provides an SMS text message once the animal has been slaughtered for the meat to be distributed to the poor, all without the pilgrim ever having to see the animal nor deal with the blood!
