FlynnCoyote
So can anybody recommend a good software for animation? All I have at the moment is Windows Movie Maker and from what I can tell it's going to be a pain in the ass to make anything with that in any decent time frame. I hear good things about Flash, and if it gets the thumbs up from people here then that's the direction I'll go but if anyone knows about any other animation softwares that will make the process less painful I'd love to hear about them. I do intend to add sound, so the simple gif style animation available in Photoshop isn't going to cut it.

Moogle
TvPaint is pretty simple to learn and is top notch in my books. It's quite expensive though. I've heard good reviews on Toonboom so there's always that too, last I saw it was much cheaper.
