Rant/Rave: Switching Distros

At this point, I think I'm a distro hopper. No matter which Linux distro I install, I can never seem to use one for longer than 5 months. While it's good that I like changing things up, it's also bad because I have to go through the process of choosing the distro I wanna install and then saving all my important files onto some sort of external storage. I just had to do this because I decided to switch to Ubuntu MATE and I'm gonna be installing it shortly.

Better than getting addicted to one, although to be honest your addiction might be more trouble. Though you could just set up a dedicated partition for your important stuff then link to that later. That way it's always there without you having to move things around.

Oh, what are the chances of setting up a multiboot system? You could have all the flavors.

So you don't need it at all. Switch to Windows and forget this trash.

Nah. I like having privacy and customization.

I could set one up if I really wanted to, but I have a feeling I would only ever boot into one of them and ignore the other, so I don't do it.
