I'm glad that I live in a period of history which is comparatively free and where we can be ourselves without fear of social or legal reprisal. I was lot happier when I left home, that's for sure! I always worked part time, as well, I started out washing dishes, then busing tables, then waiting tables, which, in ways, as hard a job as it was, would probably pay more than the one I have! But college was great. I came back home for the first summer, and it was hard...after that, I just stayed down there. (My college was about 5 hours south of where we lived) Anyway, I studied a lot, and got something like a 3.75 GPA, but I also did a lot of pretty crazy things...and met some of the most interesting people I have ever met.
