DEMOCRATS THOUGHT CONTROVERSIAL MEGABITCH HILLARY WAS A GREAT IDEA FOR A CANDIDATE AND ARE SURPRISED WITH THE RESULTS

For all my worried democrats out there, you brought this upon yourself. If you're moving to Canada, please let me know if your real estate is in an Ace location.

One of the greatest things about this is even if Killary does somehow win, her campaign has done so much shady and corrupt shit (remember Debbie Wasserman-Schultz screwing Bernie out of the nom, admitting it and resigning, then immediately getting hired by HRC?) that only her diehard fans will ever accept it; everyone else will just see it as her cheating her way to the top and her victory will be as hollow as her eyes.

I woulda preffered crazy old man bernie v hillary, but I'M FOR HER and WE NEED A WOMAN PRESIDENT types exist

Jeb Bush woulda been better than Trump, I think... kasich? For OH ran, too. I'd vote him as a prez; he's done p good with our schools and economy

2016 has just been one big long fuck you to most americans

There were a few good republicans on the ticket. I would have preferred Jeb than anyone on the red ticket.

At the same time, it's been a weird year with people upset with the "Status Quo" politicians. People would have put a cat up for office if it meant no more career politicians.

Its been all. Night. Long. BOOOHOOO 3RD PARTIES WOULDA 100% VOTED FOR HILLARY IF THEY DIDN'T VOTE FOR GARY JOHNSON ;;

I mean, if 100% of those votes woulda went for Hillary, valid point, but I hardly believe it. The majority of those 3rd party voters were essentially repubs who couldn't stand Trump.

At this point, I just want it to be over cause the tension is killing me.

The only thing i have to worry about are either the college bros who cross into my neighborhood for their pot, or pissfights with Russia which means more hacking and security problems.

Kasich was terrible for our schools. Certainly for our funding of them.

People doing this infuriate me.

Don't yell at people for voting for who they believe in. That isn't right.

Worst part is is that there's TONS of people like this on Twitter and Tumblr right now.

I maintain that is up to each individual to make their decision. 3rd party or not. Would I be disappointed if they contribute to a Trump victory? Of course. But each person is welcome to determine how they wish to treat this election.

It's been one helluva ride tonight!

I'd rather people vote honestly rather than out of necessity. I mean, there were elections in the past that were tight like a new pair of jeans.
At the same time, I feel that there's a lot at risk here with social aspects. Like, I am afraid of family members who are Gay or lesbian finding out their marriages are null and void. At this point, I don't care if some racist tool shoots me on my way home from work as long as they are okay and aren't tread on.

Perhaps it's the rum or the stress...or both.

The local issues, Toshabi took care of those, but for the candidacy, it didn't matter. Toshabi lives in California.

Let me try to address this in a way that may make it seem better.

1. Conservatives will get a super majority on the Supreme Court

This isn't a guarantee, can still be stopped by Democrats the same way Republicans kept stalling Obama's nominees, but most importantly, Supreme Court justices very often flip their allegiance after getting appointed. A lot of our liberal justices have been appointed by Republicans like Reagan. So not all is lost.

2. Say goodbye to health care

Trump suggested getting rid of state restrictions, which regressively gave insurance companies monopoly powers in each state, and Obamacare forced us to buy it, making things worse, and more expensive every year. Trump's idea to increase competition in healthcare might actually make healthcare prices start to come down for the first time in I don't know how long. That is assuming the Senate let's him do anything.

3. We’ll set combating climate change back decades

Honestly, governments have done jack all for climate change besides talk about it. I mean, seriously, what has US done? Or China, or Russia? No change in this regard. Elon Musk is doing more for it with pushing electric cars and solar than any government has.

4. It’s very likely abortion becomes illegal

Deep red conservative states already make it impossible to get. Deep blue liberal ones will keep it legal regardless. Nothing will change.

5. They could very well destroy Social Security and Medicare

Those two are already dead, they just don't know about it. If you're in your 20's, please don't rely on those being around during your retirement. Put money into your own IRA instead (you'll earn way more too). At least maybe with Trump's idea you'll get to keep your money instead of giving it to government to squander away.

6. Net neutrality is likely dead

And that may be a really good thing. Not because Net Neutrality is a bad idea, but because of who would have been in charge of overseeing it. You really want to trust the internet to a bunch of old 60yo men, many of whom have never even used a computer, get their emails printed out by their staff, and who believe the internet is "a series of tubes?"

7. Discrimination will become legal

May be a good thing, to get those racists, sexists, and homophobes out in the open, so we finally know whom to avoid doing business with. Honestly, the idea of forcing those assholes to accept our money and have us support them never made sense to me. And hey, you can legally discriminate against them too.

8. They’re going to make terrorism much worse

This one makes no sense. It's was Hillary and her State Department that funded the groups that became ISIS, who started a proxy war in Syria, ACS Hillary who wants to continue and expand wars in Middle East, which have been the biggest terrorism recruitment tools ever. I don't know why Trump would be worse.

9. Voting rights will be set back decades

I don't know where the author got this idea from...

10. We will empower white supremacists to levels not seen in decades

See #7. Fuck those guys, and if they're out in the open, you'll just know exactly whom to fuck.

Trump likes to flip-flop on the PP issues, and there was certain talk about defunding it completely. So us folk that look to  it for cheaper alternatives to pap smears and breast cancer screenings will have to pay more out of pocket, Places where there are more than 30% are going to have to either pass on tests or pay more out of pocket.

Dude, you are in Canada, not in the south. Go to bed and dream of your clickbait porn.

When you wake up, you can gloat and cheer while the rest of us American folk have to worry what it means for stocks and shit.

Seeing as everything might well swing Republican, here's a reminder that this is a thing.

"Coal is an abundant, clean, affordable, reliable domestic energy resource" and "Our friends no long trust us" just make it special.

Not to mention if Trump wins, it will be a first that an outsider took the highest office in the country with NO political experience.

I'm pretty sure Taylor had no political experience prior to his election.

He was largely elected because he was a military celebrity, if I recall, and despite him thinking politics childish and insane.

He was also the candidate for a party whose last winner died a month in, and then he died a year later and the party didn't even get anything done really.

Well, that was a disaster.

I can't really see much positive coming out of a Trump presidency; at the bare minimum he will destroy America's already tarnished international reputation and damage the global economy (economists are already predicting Canada to be hit pretty hard from his opposition to free trade, and as we've all seen, the stock market has already taken a plunge simply with the possibility of him winning), at worst he will destabilize the international community by encouraging/aiding military adventurists like Putin and roll back minority and LGBTQ (Pence is strongly anti-LGBTQ, so depending on his actual influence, this could be a significant focus of Trump's presidency) rights at home, as well as numerous other possibilities... hell, he could do almost anything with how vague he has been and how much he flip-flops on various issues...

Rassah was wrong.

If Trump really wins, then I most certainly was. I would be extremely surprised, and this would actually be historically unprecedented: the first time a candidate chosen and funded by Wall Street and big banks has lost the election.

In the mean time, bitcoin is up $35 (4.75%) just this evening. Do I have to repeat myself?

Not necessarily. You know that saying The Devil you know vs the devil you don't? Well, the establishment rich just got a crazy ass devil no one knows or knows how to control too. Don't forget, Wall Street and rich bankers were funding Hillary. Politicians are puppets for the rich, and I can't see Trump being a puppet.
