Bitcoin is a safe haven, a legislative arbitrage (meaning going against regulations), and has always gone up whenever a country gets fucked. Right now it seems that the sentiment is that this country is being fucked, and stock futures are tanking (we can't tell by actual stocks because the market is closed). So, yeah, bringing it up as a safe haven and a good counterinvestment for those worried about losing money or wanting to make some. The last time I talked about bitcoin here, it was at $415.
