Much as I don't like either, vore and pedophilia have literally nothing in common.
Keep on-topic.

The OP is literally on the immorality of the vore community.

As someone who has repeatedly left said vore site because of it, I can tell you said site is overrun with pedophiles/pedophile supporters; doesn't matter if they aren't related, it happened.

If you're still not convinced to Aryion, make an account, and tell me the name of thet secret hidden forum only registered people can see. Charming title, no? But then you proably shouldn't do that because you don't want that kind of site on your internet history.

it's worth noting that the site doesn't allow IRL content of any kind.  anything posted on there is artwork and fantasy only, which doesn't necessarily mean people who enjoy something in fantasy have an interest in the real-life version, and definitely doesn't equate to the site supporting or encouraging such actions.  it seems a little hypocritical to make a big point about one kind of fictional content, while accepting a different kind that would be equally bad if practiced in real life.  but this is not real life, and if anyone on the site does have that interest in terms of real-life people, that's on them and again, not allowed on the site.

tbh if you don't want to have anything to do with that part of the site, don't sign up for it.  blacklist the tags so it won't come up in your browsing, avoid discussion that seems iffy to your sensibilities, and you probably won't encounter many issues.

at any rate, a single vore site allowing fictional content involving underage characters =/= the vore community as a whole being immoral and encouraging actual pedophilia.

and as has been said over and over already, "that one site" is far from being the only place where you'll find the exact same kinds of people and behaviors you're complaining about.  you will find such people in every community.  you will find such people outside of any particular "community".  what kinks you have aren't generally relevant to what type of person you are, and it's best not to make such broad generalizations based on something that is definitely not the majority.

This is a good point because imagine those other furry communities (inkbunny) that has that content, as well as hentai, rule 34 etc. Generalizing the enture vore community off of one forum you might as well call the furfags out on their shit as a whole as well

Keep the thread clean, guys.
I know this topic is technically about a kink, but this is still the PG-13 section.

I'm talking about keeping on-topic about the original subject. There is no direct connection between voraphilia and pedophilia, ergo including the latter feels like a complete asspull of an argument about the former.

By the same logic, I could say that all men are rapists, because a number of men have raped.
But that's kind of fucking stupid, so I'm not doing it. The same thing applies here.

Are you judging that based on face to face conversations or conversations online? Or both?

Which part? The idea that having difficulty reading social cues makes one more likely to broach subjects at inappropriate times, or the idea that autistic folks aren't necessarily more likely to be into vore than others? If you're referring to the latter, I haven't knowingly met many people with that particular fetish online or IRL. That's mostly speculation, based around the thought that they're simply more likely to be open about it than non-autistic folks. If you're referring to the former, I think it's mostly consistent with what I've read about autism.

This.

@TyrannoI think it's also worth noting that I've heard arguments used against furries that are pretty much the same as what you're saying. Because cub porn exists at all and is allowed on some sites there are people who believe the furry community as a whole supports pedophilia. I've heard that one multiple times from people who have only casually viewed the fandom.

It's pretty obvious that those people are uncomfortable with furries in general and are picking out the worst things they can find on the internet and using them to paint the whole fandom. The same principle applies to vore. People who are put off by it try to make it out to be much more sinister than it is. It's pretty much just this: "I don't like this subject so I'm going to judge it by the worst example I can find."  A furry reveals himself to be an autistic butt trumpet who doesn't understand personal boundaries? Well that must be indicative of the whole fandom right??? No the fuck it's not. While butt trumpets are louder, pootier, and more noticeable than their non-butt, non-trumpet counterparts they make up maybe 10-15% of people I run into. This is true of every fandom I've ever encountered. I can just about promise you that the vore community is not going to be any different. People just THINK there are more shitty weirdos because, big shock, normal people don't immediately attract attention or leave horrifyingly scaring first impressions.

But here is the problem.

Actually being into vore, I didn't actively look for the first reason to avoid the community. I didn't sign up thinking "These people better be disgusting so I have a good reason to isolate myself from people with my own obscure interest". If that was what I wanted, I wouldn't have gone out of my way to find the community. Even after they alienated me the first time, eventually I came back... and this happened repeatedly. Over and over, telling myself "well, it can't be that bad, right?" and... well...

Which community are you talking about? You say the Vore community, but there are dozens of circles within every little subset of every little community and fandom, everyone has their favourite people and a lot of the time these circles don't have any overlap. I myself have yet to encounter anyone within the niche who actually has anything resembling the level of depravity you're describing. Pretty much everyone I've encountered via this common interest has been level headed enough to know the difference between keeping it fictional and doing unethical things just to get off to. The worst I've seen is art whores who try to cozy up and worm free drawings out of me.

And I'm still not convinced you didn't just encounter a loud minority and have based your view of the community as a whole off of a bad experience. I' ve not seen anything from the vore community that leads me to believe that people who like vore are somehow worse than people in other fandoms. Like with furries, anime nerds and p much ANYONE ELSE, there's a handful of people that are kind of gross or creepy and most of the rest of the community is normal. Sometimes you might even get a whole forum that is toxic. When I was a good bit younger I was on pg-13 avatar sites and every now and then I found a site that fell to an almost mob mentality and became a cliquish drama mill. I've been on forums where the admin has been shitty and let things like harassment slide. I've even been on sites where a small minority was just bad enough and loud enough that I quit because nothing was being done about their behavior and they made it impossible for me to enjoy the site as a whole. In reality a single website, even a big one isn't a good indication of an entire community because even if there's only a small percentage of extremists that percentage is going to be really loud and obvious. Heck. if I judged the entire LGBT community off of the ridiculous crap I found on tumblr I'd probably never wanna interact with anyone who identified with that label ever again.

Instead of moaning about the vore community being depraved and immoral, why not make threads on other forums, like this one even, asking if there are other people who are into vore and can recommend you a good site?

Do you read the forums of Eka's Portal/Aryion at all?

You know, you're probably right about that.
