Tyranno
In my fish tank there is a bamboo shrimp (also called a wood shrimp, or rock shrimp), which I have literally seen twice - once on November, and later on in January, but he hides all the time otherwise; additionally, on the day we bought this creature, it was hidden in plain sight, along with two others and we and the staff nearly completely missed it.

It may also be the shrimp is smart, and realizes how good he tastes fried. But I have seen some very exotic looking shrimp at pet stores; always wanted a salt-water tank, just have not had the money and time for it. Maybe one day. Feelwell
It's probably testing out a cloaking device, delivered by the CIA to screw with you and test if the harmful radiation it emits is going to destroy all of you.
Vallium
Not as elusive as tank worms that eat fish and staff wonder why all the fish are dissappearing out of nowhere I thought this was going to be about most elusive pet to own, and I was going to say Tibetan Mastiff ...thats kinda funny you paid money for a pet you cant see, but I guess what matters more is it likes his hidey hole tank, haha! Tyranno
That was a decent concern for the first couple of months, but since it reappeared after two months, its safe its hiding.
