Yesss. Just because it has been done terribly in the past, that doesn't make it a terrible source of solutions.

You might find British fascism interesting. http://cnqzu.com/library/Solar General/100-questions-about-fascism-oswald-mosley.pdf

There's not many publications out there that say much about fascism outside of post-war smear campaigns. A lot of fascist politicians came from the left side of the political spectrum before they became fascist. A lot of people on the internet call themselves socialists and I've found myself quoting fascist ideas and solutions and it's interesting how many agree with them. Fascism does not bode well for crony capitalism.

To be honest, I really don't know what Fascism exactly is.

Most people who use the word don't. It's used as another f-word without any understanding of what it is. It actually has its roots in the Roman empire, I believe the Italians are the ones who established Fascism. The word "Fascism" comes from the Fasces. It's a symbol of sorts - a big unbreakable bundle of twigs, bound together, and supplemented by the axe, which represents the authority.

But Digimon IS better than Pokemon.

come on, man.

Like, two seasons of Digimon are better than Pokémon

Those first three seasons of Digimon were so poorly written in an attempt to be easily absorbed by a younger audience that I find it impossibly to go back and watch them as an adult. Admittedly at least the pacing is a lot better in season 2 once they found their footing, and season 3 was all around an improvement overall. Season 4 is the only season I'd say is actually good enough to be considered better than most of Pokémon.

The Pokémon movies are generally better than any Digimon movies, however.

I'll be honest with you. I'm WAY too drunk to understand what you said.

I'll keep that link on hand and read it when I have spare time, thanks.

That is true, but I don't care so much about the revenue as I do about the principle. It's the same reason why I don't think gay marriage should be illegal. Any activity in which all of the parties involved are consenting shouldn't be any of the governments business ever. That's the most important reason to me personally, but I could also go on and on about the million ways that legalizing drugs and prostitution would be helpful to the economy and to society.

In some cases the exception is made when there is a pressing interest, and that has to be proven.

clearly you aaren't eating good food as eating is something that is pretty much universally enjoyed it's something that can bring people of all different cultures together as someone who enjoys cooking nothing makes me happier than seeing people enjoy my food.

I cook my own food so I tend to get things I like 99% of the time but I'd still prefer just not needing to eat at all. Like if I have to do it then I can enjoy it but if I didn't have to I wouldn't bother.

Seeing how her ratings and popularity are sky high I don't think this is really unpopular.

Err'body loves Gaga.

A lot of people love to hate her, and most of those ratings are from younger audiences who have yet to develop a taste for music and just swallow down pop culture by the spoonful.

Actually Gaga has been one of the few to really shine to the older audience as well, since she takes so much inspiration from performers like Madonna.

When it comes to modern pop, there's definitely some good artists coming out. Even Maroon 5 has been stepping it up recently with some killer singles.

I find that pleasantly surprising, even in my American Popular music course a in 2012 there was discussion whether or not lady gaga actually made quality music or if she was popular for shock value performance.

I hope no one hates me after this.....

Video game opinions:

Square Enix is the greatest video game company ever to exist.

Final Fantasy XIII is great and VII is just "good".

Star Fox Assault>2>Adventures>64>Command (Never played the first game)

There is no video game "master race". Just play video games you enjoy how you want.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is one of the better Zelda games and is better than Windwaker.

Drakengard 3 is a good video game.

Metroid: Other M is a decent video game.

Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix critical mode has some of the greatest gameplay in all of video games.

Super Mario World is better than 3.

Animation opinions:

I like Teen Titans Go more than Teen Titans.

Durarara!! is better than Baccano.

CGI is boring and a terrible trend in the animation industry.

Cowboy Bebop is just "okay".

Dofus: The Treasures of Kerubim is better than Wakfu.

Other opinions:

Pineapples are terrible.

Dragons aren't cool.

Funny, I think Square Enix are literally video game Satan and that Kingdom Hearts is one of the worst franchises to have ever been shat out.

EDIT: Actually come to think of it I am mad at Square for cancelling Fortress (Ivalice Alliance spinoff)

I never played Kingdom Hearts in my youth. I recently tried it out, what with all the hype over KHIII being announced

And it was awful. Like, I suppose in the context of its time, it was sorta like this big deal crossover event with characters from franchises that a lot of people loved, and it caught a lot of people on that basis alone. And kids are more forgiving I suppose, so it was easier to enrapture them with big bright loud colourful levels.

But playing it without any prior experience with the franchise, and zero nostalgia factor for any of the characters (I was never a Final Fantasy OR Disney person, I spent my time with Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network, and Pokémon was the only turn based RPG I ever had any interest in), all I got out of Kingdom Hearts was this ridiculous AU crossover fanfiction with this self insert Sora character and some seriously conflicting themes and tones that made it impossible to take the supposedly serious moments seriously. Whose dumb idea was it to put Donald Duck and Goofy into dramatic scenarios and expect the audience to feel anything?
Honestly I feel like if that game had come out today, it would never have taken off. Only reason I can imagine people are actually looking forward to a new entry is purely because of those dang ol' nostalgia goggles.

Nowadays I hear nothing but disdain from former Square Enix fans.
And, while yes they have recently come out and cancelled the 'augment your preorder' campaign, Square Enix actually thought the Augment Your Preorder campaign was a perfectly fine and acceptable thing to do.
On that basis alone I'd probably say that Squeenix are pretty low ranking. Maybe not the devil incarnate, I still think Ubisoft is technically doing worse, and while EA has been getting better, they're still pretty bad, but Square Enix is pretty bad at the moment.

The nostalgia factor was what really made me hate Kingdom Hearts. It's one thing to take all these characters I love and put them together, it's another thing to systematically ruin each and every one while also not offering a single interesting original character to go with them.

The gameplay was okay but nothing good enough to make up for the butchering of character and story that went with the rest of the game.

The entirety of Organization XIII, and specifically Master Xehanort I'd argue to be interesting characters. Although admittedly a large part of why I like Master Xehanort is because of Leonard Nimoy. Maleficent too, but only in II due to her sense of morality/right and wrong.

I'd actually argue that KH1 has aged like milk and isn't all that good a game. Its very silly, and everyone acts like children which considering some of the events in the game makes things really weird. One moment Sora and Donald are fighting over control of their ship and crashing it into a planet. The next Donald and Goofy are briefly leaving a friend to follow the Keyblade (what). I'd argue that Disney characters CAN be good for dramatic scenes however, even ones like Donald and Goofy, especially since they're easy characters for people to get attached to due to prior Disney works. I suppose if you never had much experience with Disney beforehand, it can be harder to take scenes with them very seriously. In this I'd point to this scene in KH2, which I feel handled it a lot better (though a lot of people think its silly). Spoilers in it: The video in question

Disregarding story and characters, the gameplay in 1 is very very simple, and people would be using the same combos from beginning to end. Most boss fights would just be arena battles. The platforming was also really clunky and annoying, and the gummi ship parts were tedious and aim didn't work properly.

I get excited for new games because of the gameplay, Yoko Shimomura's music, and because I have to see how this clusterfuck of a story ends.

The sequels are all a lot better. Especially Birth By Sleep in regards to how the characters are handled, as it had a much MUCH more darker tone and didn't have Donald and Goofy going along for the ride.

  • Mustard tastes like shit.
  • Dogs are annoying.
  • Breeding and creating families are overrated.
  • People put too much emphasis on their genes. "I need someone to carry on my bloodline." "I'd rather have a child that carries my genes." Bitch, who the fuck even are you?
  • Large / flashy proposals are gross and entirely unfitting for such a personal, serious decision like deciding to marry someone. They also put way too much undue pressure / guilt on the recipient, because then they're going to look like an asshole in front of everyone if they say "No." or "I need to think about this more."

Half of these aren't unpopular opinions guys, they're just unpopular in the microcosmic online furry community where being a normal makes you a shitlord.

Why would anyone want to post an actually unpopular opinion? I don't think I've ever seen this thread concept used where it wasn't just "popular but not universal" opinions.

Nirvana sucks. Poison on the radio.

I'm not a huge Nirvana fan, but I like a lot of their popular songs, even if they're overplayed. I respect that they helped bring grunge to the mainstream, which happens to be one of my favourite genres :3

I don't think having been in the military entitles you to jack shit. Not unless you've seen combat or are in the Coast Guard.

I'm a huge military supporter but I have to agree

there's lots of shit people can do in the military/Ministry of Defence that doesn't even involve combat or even seeing the sun in some areas.

I do have a lot of respect for those who saw combat though. Especially those left disabled in the line of duty.

People are quick to call me an asshole because I'm not quick to suck the dick of every single "veteran" I meet. I'm sorry but if all you did was sit on your ass transferring radio calls for 4 years I don't think you're entitled to lifetime benefits. Yes, you should be paid for the job you did, but that's about it in my eyes.
