It involves 'transformation' but its all off-screen. Unlike another Fur's published work I tried reading recently, this didn't want to make me gag on overly archaic language, semi-random POV changes, and somewhat stilted dialogue. The magic system described sounds interesting, as does the entirety of... well, can't say too much, but I liked it enough that if Book 2 ever comes out I'd buy it.
