aww :C CD's are awesome though!

these are all folk CD's I own, 4 of these are signed by the artists.

I love CD's too, but I am too impatient to order them so I just buy MP3s and then burn the CDs myself.

Also the picture may have been bad, but I still immediately recognized four of those albums.

I usually buy them on concerts I visit and ask them for my birthday/saint nicholas day/christmas. I also know this little stand "the dutch highlander" that often comes to the festivals(like KeltFest, Scots Celtic Festival, Midwinterfair, elfia, castlefest) I always pay a visit and this man is always eager to show you his new batch of cds. You can listen to a track or two and then decide whether or not you want to buy it.

He also sells kilts and scotland souvenirs.

i like to have the official cd for stupid things like a decorated case and printed cd. I also love when it comes with a booklet with information or pictures. It's silly I know.

I've gotta follow this thread, this is my kinda thing!
I like S. J. Tucker, Albannach, Clanadonia, and some Omnia among a TON of other bands and music types...though I'm certain Albannach and Clanadonia are in a different category, I've never been good at categorizing music >.>
Got to see Flogging Molly play in Indianapolis early 2014...I swear to bob that Dave King NEVER stops moving! That man is a wind-up toy!

Well hi there! Thank you! I'm a MacLeod, I can't help but love my pagan, folk, Scottish, and Celtic music...though funny enough my Scottish father doesn't like bagpipes. We used to play all manner of pipe and drums music in the house to drive him batty, but at least we enjoyed it!

That's so cool! My last name is De Groot, there is zero scottish or irish heritage in my veins but my head makes up for that :P

I was introfuced to celtic music on Elfia, though mu mum sais even as a baby I slept through the bagpipes in the local tattoo.

I get my feeling like part of a clan solemny from Keltfest -_-

Nothing wrong with that! I say you are what you make yourself to be ^.^  I went to a Scottish festival near Toronto earlier in the year, there's nothing like the sound of 300 bagpipes warming up individually. Whew! Like a swarm of angry bees stinging a pen full of cats!

arr mateys! let me introduce ye all to this band.

Pyrates!

they are amazing at life concerts. I think it's most iconic how they respond to applause:

crowd: *claps*
"no no mateys, give me an arr*
Crowd: *goes arr*

-next song-

crowd: *claps*
"no clapping. give me an arr"
Crowd: ARR

-next song-

Crowd: *goes arr, but still some people clap*
"I see you brought in some seals"

Will only comment on the bands I've seen live (Castlefest, Midwinter Fair, Elfia etc)

Blackmore's Night -> Awesome!

Faun -> They know how to make a show great

Omnia -> Hell no, never saw such arrogance and political bashing in 1 show. Their best quote? "Commercialism sucks! It's ending the world! But please buy our CD's and merchandise" And yes, that is a literal quote from their show at Castlefest 2015. Friend tried to get them to play at his wedding years ago. The response from their "lead singer" was "dude, looking at you, you won't be able to afford us, piss of"

Cesair -> Still loving the band, nice relaxing lay in the grass with a bottle of mead (honey wine) and do nothing music.

Scrum -> Pretty much bounce around and be hyper music

Vic Anselmo -> Great songs, same playlist every year at the shows, even the same questions to the audience

Pater Moeskroen -> Jep, just jep. It's great

Corvus Corax -> (Cantus Buranus) was impressive, no other way to put it

Royal Spuds -> Silly but great

HIIIIIIIIIII! Been years though, ever since they kicked out Mead and More to push their own horrible, horrible mead :(

Will probably go next year, pondering on outfit though :P

I've been going for around 6 years nowl, both Elfia and Arcen, I don't really drink alcohol so the mead doesn't bug me :P
I also like Keltfest and Midwinterfair, they always have a lot of mead and whiskey on keltfest if you like :P
