AshleyAshes
Basically for my server I could have spent $50 to get 8GB of DDR3 memory for it but I had 2x4GB of DDR3 SODIMM memory from a laptop that had been in a drawer for a couple of years. I found cheap SODIMM to DIMM pinout adaptors on eBay and paid $12 for the pair. I saved money and recycled otherwise unused memory. Plugged them in and they worked on the first try. Augmented Husky
Well hey if it works it works. I thought it over a little and actually there is zero performance loss vs desktop ram unless of course its faster RAM or more costly but hey recycling certainly works fine

It mostly just serves data and downloads things.
