Images 2 and 4 are nightmare fuel. When you draw eyes, you should refrain drawing the entire disk of the iris, because this is only ever visible if the eye lids are retracted in an expression of horror, which is why your images are...unsettling. 

The eye lids should truncate the disk of the iris. The top of the iris is usually more covered than the bottom, and the disk of the pupil may even be truncated at the top: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5b/Indianeye.png

 

edit: actually my signature is an example of truncation of the disk of the iris and the pupil. Imagine how creepy it would look if the entire disk was exposed.
