Hillary would start WW3

I keep seeing this whole theory from people who were liberals and Bernie/Jill supporters. That Hillary would establish a no-fly zone over Syria, shoot down Russian planes, and get us involved in WW3. Mind you, most of the time I see this it's from butthurt Bernie supporters, and I think it's just a bunch of far-leftists who hated Hil more than Trump because it was her fault their glorious socialist didn't win the White House (and of course listening to them whine that Bern would have won by a landslide against Trump which is funny as shit...).

I have serious trouble believing that Hil is as crazy as they said. I am no Hil supporter. But let's look at what she is and isn't.
Is she bad with Emails? Yes.
Is she hawkish? Yes she is.
Is she corrupt? About as much as any career politician, which is to say quite a bit.
Does she have shady ties with Wall Street and Saudi Princes? Yep.

So, a pretty bad candidate in general. And yes, she's hawkish. But, not as hawkish as McCain who seemed to want to go full ground war with Syria every single day. And Hil, despite being a typical corrupt politician, is also shrewd and intelligent, like a shrewd evil genius. She's not an idiot like Trump. Hawkish or not, I would think she'd have the intelligence to not do anything that would escalate things so seriously that a huge nuclear or conventional war would break out. Useless middle eastern wars or proxy wars, maybe. But not global conflict.

And seriously, these people think Trump is unlikely to start a war. Really? Maybe not with Russia, but I'm not counting out him starting war with China. Or just bombing the middle east into dust.

I think it says a lot that people have to compare Donald to the carnage of a third world war for him to appear desirable.

It's all irrelevant now though; the evasion of war is merely the justification that some die-hard supporters will resort to over the next years, to absolve themselves of any responsibility for their electoral choice.  *shrug*.

(you might be interested to know that during the Brexit campaign both sides accused one another of marching towards WWIII).

Remember how Obama promised peace, prosperity, hope and change and how that turned out to be a complete lie as he mostly carried the policies of George Bush forward?

Remember how George W Bush before him promised fiscal conservatism yet the government got into a much bigger deficit by the end?

Remember how Trump promised he would "clean up the swamp" and prosecute Hillary yet he ended up saying Hillary had "been through enough" & his administration is full of corporate lobbyists?

One thing that amazes me about democracy is how the government continually disregards public opinion (or otherwise manipulates it to supporting something like WMDs in Iraq being used as justification for war) except for the occasional superficial issue. Yet so many people think their vote matters. It doesn't, as long as one of the corporate shills being put up for election gets elected.

Campaign promises are like booster rockets; you jettison them when you reach your desired momentum.
