Misomie Posted April 3, 2016 Share Posted April 3, 2016 Today was a weird day. Woah. Anyways, opener didn't show up at work today. I was called at 10:20 this morning to come in (store opens at 7/8) and open. Turns out opener didn't find a cover and didn't tell boss so no one showed. Anyways, I arrive to one of the relatives of the owner and took over for him. He mentioned me possibly becoming manager and I mentioned I'd be interested as would another employee (we have two ex-managers working for us). Anyways, I got the store caught up and left. Just a few minutes ago I got a call and answered it. Oh man. The guy I mentioned and the owner discussed it and decided I will be the new manager. I already agree to every call-in, only had to call in once, and was only late once or twice. Overall I've built up quite the reputation. Luca Posted April 3, 2016 Share Posted April 3, 2016 Don't be afraid to say anything if it feels overwhelming, you'll get used to it. They should be understanding if you level a bit, but keep trying at it then.
