Not a really good reason considering the straight forward visual novel engines are designed for this. You really need a lot of experience in using RPG Maker to use it for other genre. Either Scripting or Events. He doesn't really know how to use the program since i don't see many experiences in him using it. Considering the beginner mistakes he has made as well as a big one. EDIT: I have finished the demo completely since it expanded into chapter 2 so it's clear from here it will not be updated any further. Though chapter 2 really bothered me at the same time i feel quite a bit offended at certain scenes in chapter 2 with the Japanese mythology. Though since this is supposed to have 12 chapters. I would be compelled to at least the demo have half the chapters so demo saves can be used in the full game for the second half. Like Mein Furrier's speech on immigration and such and suddenly have the forum interrupted by Slutfox who (that looks like a slave) and the blue water slut. (I also got lost, i he running for kind or mayor, IDK). The expositional dialogue with the two assassins Sparklepooch and Negro-lion and their revelation that it was the king (that looks like Wolf-bone) who hired them to implicate Furry Donald Trump. The other stuff...It's trying to rip from the next half of Persona 4 when you go on a trip to Tatsumi island and find yourself sitting through Edogawa's lecture on the origins of japan. Jeezus! When you are thrown into the world by "not Igor", you get to meet Negro lion and Sparklepooch who ask you a bunch of questions which could be summed up as one image: Some shit happens, some stupid exposition and you find out that Igor is Buttfucking King Woobles. Like a common issue is that people are inexplicably scared of simplicity and feel like they need to add a shit-ton of different colors in order to be "unique". All you need is a palette of no more than 3 complimenting colors and shades and simple patterns, none of this ridiculous clown shit. Stick to simple, complimentary colours unless you know what you're doing. Contrasting is good, but only if you're aware of how you're using it. The easiest way to add contrast is through dark or bright shades. Personally, I'm not fond of unrealistic colours unless explainable through lore (see: copious amounts of fur dye, in my case, and mine is still very muted and 'natural' looking outside of markings), but I'm not gonna tell someone not to use them if they want to. But god damn... learn HOW to use colours, first.
