Someone I know linked me a screencap of this and I didn't believe it.

Oh god, that trailer is like if someone literally just made a montage of shitty OC's they found on the front page of FA or something holy hell.

EDIT: Oh just look at the related games. How utterly fitting in every way possible. Honestly I don't if PDP's virtual masturbation session or one of Digital Homicide's glorified scams is more offensive.

z0mg game with anthros must play! :v

Wonder if it has the option to play as an anthro reptile, in which case I'll become a huge hypocrite.

I played the Demo, so there was no way to insert your murrsona in it. Perhaps in the full version.

Klace is also an awesome celeb popstar!

You should hold out for this already greenlit one.

I can't believe that got greenlit x'D

On the topic of this shitfest: Yeah. Seriously guys, anyone considering supporting this... Don't.
TL;DR Klace is a shitbag

We have more than what is linked in that document, but haven't gotten around to including them yet, or it is a stretch to call it relevant to the VN he released and have thus been left out.

Good thing I got a 'discount'!

...

I still haven't played it yet. I should probably fix that and upload mocking screenshots like a snarky asshole.

Every single review of that game is horrible, including the ones from the furries. Honestly I don't see the appeal unless it's secretly just porn.

To be fair, 82% are positive... but very few of those have any substance and are barely more than furries guzzling down what they're given. Furries are way too easy an audience to sell to, honestly. It's good that legitimate critique is being kept at the top of the board

All of the main characters are patreon supporters xP

That I figured, but they are there to cream their pants over the real star while maintaining the facade of actually being a character with an Anime trope personality.

Anyways, I wasn't  referring to the the characters, but the pop idol the protagonist won a chance to hang out with.

Maybe hypocritical coming from the guy making a list of games with anthro characters, but it takes more than furries to get me to like a game. In fact, most games made by furries or indentifing as a furry game are usually bad news to me.

What makes or breaks a game is substance in it. The story, the characters, gameplay, etc. Are what makes or breaks how it is going to be. Sadly, the creator seemed to make a half assed attempt at a diet shin megami tensei game with furry characters.

You know what? As I've been playing this I realized something, there's so much goddamn stupid that I feel obligated share my suffering through the power of (screenshot) Let's Play since I can't condense this into a single post since holy shit.

Double post since fuk da police.

And here it is, a quick rundown of the first 5 minutes since this is the kind of game which necessitates frequent breaks.

Thankfully the game isn't very long...allegedly.

So here's a quick rundown of the first 5 minutes since this is the kind of game which necessitates frequent breaks.

enqFFNW.jpg

Something something front page of DeviantArt.

So right off the bat I can say in no uncertain times this was definitely not made in RPG Maker. I can't see how anyone could think otherwise with this completely original stock music, innovative menus and completely original icon.

This is of course not getting into our wonderful looking cast. The jokes write themselves I mean holy shit.

hn2g7gv.png

That sounds more like a threat.

So the game begins and already I'm fucking lost.

ZMlqDUa.png

2 seconds in and the protagonist is already confused. Good to see he's at least relatable.

Our protagonist spends a minute casually floating in space, since I guess that's an everyday occurrence in glorious furry Nippon. In any case some horrible man...dog thing with inexplicably translucent hair comes out of nowhere and scares the shit out of me with his awful bedroom eyes and stupid face.

IXurjnT.png
This is quickly becoming the plot of Sonic Adventure 2. God help me.

Mr. spooky hair then explains I'm in furfag purgatory or some stupid shit and then all of a sudden I gotta put in a name since I guess floating in space is as good a time as any. I went with 'Chase' since if I'm gonna fuck dogs might as well play the part. Oh and his last name is Assfart because I'm classy.

4aIxvq7.pngYou're goddamn right.

There's some more dumb bullshit that pretty much amounts to him saying he's god or something (since I guess god has a terrible sense of humor) and that 'the ark' is a giant goofy looking space station that will destroy the Earth has something to do with the ability to change fate or something.

TrC4RtL.png
* Wondering what the fuck just happened fills you with...confusion and dread.

Anywho, Chase McAssfart is thrown into a subway car since why the fuck not. He then proceeds to think about loads of boring shit like how no one in a Japanese subway speaks English as if it's some kind of bizarre occurrence, and how he's a terrible weeb. Suddenly everything just stops and the title card for next 'chapter' pops up without warning.

Wg41Vrc.jpg

Wow. This is probably the scariest pop scare I've seen in a game, well done guy!

Maybe I'll continue it later. I don't want to derail the riveting conversation, but if anyone's interested I can keep at it.

Also I tried putting it in a spoiler, but that didn't work for some reason.

against my better judgement I'm going to download it, even though I could already tell just from the intro video it's going to be a shit show but maybe this will get my Let's Play career off the ground :v

also let's look at these system requirements:

  • Recommended:
    • OS: Do you have Windows? Good.
    • Processor: If you can look at pictures, you're good.
    • Memory: 1 MB RAM
    • Graphics: If you can see this, you're good to go.
    • Storage: 1 GB available space
    • Sound Card: Whatever makes bleeps and bloops
    • Additional Notes: Minesweeper is a good benchmark.

so helpful

Not gonna link it because I know someone's gonna try kickstart it again if I do >.> haha.

Reminds me of Undertale's Soundtrack requirements on Steam:

  • RECOMMENDED:
    • OS: Windows 90000000
    • Processor: Very fast processor that can play 9000 songs per second
    • Memory: 999 GB RAM
    • Graphics: Special Graphics Card That Makes Music Look Like Cool 3D For No Reason
    • Storage: 1 GB available space
    • Sound Card: Sound Card That Makes The Music Sound Like A Live Orchestra Even Though It's Not
    • Additional Notes: Really though, it's just music files...

Part one of the story

:-spoiler alert-:

(Synopsis from the page)

"A wave of murder and suicide has been hitting the country, but all of the cases share the same aspect; they happen exactly at the stroke of midnight. You play as one of the "Lucky Two", winners of a contest that give you the opportunity to travel the world with the international pop idol, Klace. But arriving in Japan just as this wave of incidents gets out of control, you quickly get caught up in a larger scheme. The launch of his worldwide tour promptly becoming the least of your concerns.

You and your team must uncover the mystery behind The Midnight Deaths, and in doing so -- you will uncover shocking truths. Balance your social life, relationships and friendships during the day -- because at night you will be whisked away to an unfamiliar and hostile world. But with this second world being the key to saving Earth, you can't help but delve deeper into dangerous territory."

The story is a bit reminiscent of the Shin Megami Tensei Series (persona 2 mostly and a bit of persona 3/4) in the aspect of rumors, deaths and end-of-all things. At the start of the game, you find yourself in a "rift between worlds", kind of like how in "a certain series" series you are greeted by "Mr. Longnose" and given a brief explanation of a contract and upholding said contract and it's responsibility for a period of a year.

I went the furry route and named my foxy McCumslut.

Instead of an ominous warning, furry "Philemon" greets you in "the Ark " which is more or less an inter-dimensional plane who tells you about fate and all that other stuff synonymous with persona. After you snap out of Pink floyd-esque daydream (Shine on Crazy Diamond :v), suddenly you are thrown into a round of exposition of why you are here. Apparently, you've won some contest by finding the "golden can" to hang out with a pop idol named Klace for a year and headed to your first destination on your winning tour. Here is where you'd meet your first character Kila (or Butters as I call him) who trips on the train and apologizes for his clumsiness. After a brief round of exposition, your train comes to a screeching halt and "butters" begins to panic because he thinks that there is something wrong. Afterwards, you get a text from Rook (or "Prick") about where are you and how you are screwing up his "status quo". You are given a choice to either let Prick know you'll be on time or unsure . Either answer you choose you will receive a semi-passive aggressive reply or a very passive aggressive reply for something putting a large log into his well-oiled machine. Having taken public transportation, mr. Prick does not take into account that things happen and sometimes there will be interruptions with the trains, busses, etc.

Afterwards, you begin to talk with "butters" on why you are here (to see some friends), and you are given another conversational choice to let him in on the big secret on why you are here (you, the self insert protagonist is under the NDA :V), or not tell him at all. Either answer prompts him to say he is happy for you or he just goes "oh" and tells you again why you are here and lies through his buck teeth (:V).  Despite that, the ADD squirrel goes on an excited tangent on how it is his first time in Tokyo and going to a maid cafe. Another conversation prompt pops up and you have the option to tell him what you think of Maid cafes after he asks you. Whichever option you choose with either prompt his disappointment or excitement in the idea of hanging out with you and going to said cafes.

After the train gets rolling, you enter into more exposition on "butters" on either finding him strange and/or wanting to hang out with him more and wondering what this "Prick" person is like and depending on your choice, you'll probably hear about it later, especially if you told "butters" why you re here in Japan in the first place.

Suddenly, Furry Philemon appears after a gut-wrenching pause and "chastises" you for your conversation choices. At this point, there seems to be a "free will is an illusion" meaning behind all of your answers. Either way, Philemon chastises you and half praises you for your answers before you return to reality.

After you and "butters" exchange numbers, you disembark the train and meet up with "Prick" who also chastises you in his prickish manner before asking you where the other contest winner is. Turns out "butters" is the second winner. Depending on what you said to "butters", he will either make it slip that you broke the NDA (much to Prick's ire), or not, as well as the maid cafe choices. "Prick" will also let both of you know if his itinerary for the two of you and rudely shut down maid cafes either way and "butters" will call him crass. "prick" will tell you how you shouldn't make snap judgements about people (although he is a prick), and then mention how awesome this pop idol Klace is. I had to do a google search of Klace and I wasn't surprised of his wikfur profile, although I have to ask what is it with furs and over sexualized murrsonas? Anyways, Klace is mentioned  as this super pop idol (which I can only think  this person is jailbait or something since Pop idols in Japan are  such),. Since I've only played through a part of chapter one, I can only tell you that  I am tired of hearing about it.

-to be continued-

GAMEPLAY

As visual novels go, it's pretty muck akin to the "choose your own adventure", where you get to select what path you take. Depending on the overall choices you've made, it can impact how the story goes and your ending. I played one such visual novel before that involved some homo-erotic tale o being sent to a prison city and fighting for survival. All of my choices led to getting butt-fucked by some weird super power edge-lord who found my character attractive enough (to rape). Or  the tell-tale games where what choices you make impact the ending of the game itself, like in "The Wolf Among us" or the Game of Thrones' game. I got no such feeling from this...not the homoerotic thing, but choices and freedom of choice.

The game treats your choices aren't subtle either. Furry "Philemon" guilts you with what conversational choices you make (and you wouldn't really know unless you play it a second time) as if they are all wrong. It can really break immersion when you have something nagging at you to let you know that you are a naughty McCumslut *finger wag wag*. It pretty much makes you feel like whatever answers you chose, God is dead and choice is an illusion.

Well, after doing some digging around, I decided to report Klace for review manipulation. I've seen this kind of behavior before and Steam doesn't tolerate it very lightly.

I didn't know you could do that.

It was pretty obvious from the positive reviews that it was from his friends, watchers, or people he gave free copies to.

Also, the page basic furries on Facebook had white-knights crawling all over it.

This game is so painfully furry it hurts. If you go to the steam store page, one of the first things you see are giant tittied animal ladies giving you bedroom eyes and hinting about wanting to fuck.

I'm guessing this is one of those weirdly sexual games that never actually have sex in them and it made it onto team via fanboys on greenlight?

Steam greenlight is literally one of the worst things to happen to the platform :|

It's anime-weeb dating sim that ripped its plot from persona 2/3/4 and Devil survivor. Furry Philemon also gives you longing bedroom eyes like a sensual lover telling you that you dun' goof'd.

Oh no doubt it would be, but at least then the bedroom eyes giant tittied animal people would make sense, and it wouldn't be on steam.

It would be on Xbox under the "recommended for you because you play TES V: Skyrim and Kingdoms of Almalur" list.
