RIP Anton Yelchin

There's no place for film discussion, so I'll put this here.

27 year old actor Anton Yelchin died in a car accident today. He was best known for his roll as Pavel Chekov in J.J. Abrams reboot of Star Trek.

Anybody who has seen the movie Charlie Bartlett knows that this guy was an absolute superstar. He was an amazing talent an a heart of gold, and it's a tragedy that he never really got the incredible fame he deserved. He was one of my favorite young actors, and I really can't believe he's gone.

Just a little PSA: Don't leave your car running in neutral without the parking brake engaged when you exit the vehicle.

Poor bastard got pinned between his Grand Cherokee and his front gate. What a shitty way to go.

Getting crushed by your Ferrari would be far less embarrassing.

I've been reading about this in the past couple days. Seems the Grand Cherokee that Anton owned had a serious flaw... it sometimes wouldn't stay in park, and would shift to neutral on it's own, causing it to roll if it wasn't on a flat surface.

Hmm. Doesn't stay in park.... goes into neutral.....rolls.....

Welp I smell a lawsuit.

It always seems to take death in order for a car company to admit they screwed up with their vehicles.
