Ricky
I just quit a six figure job because it suddenly came to my attention it wasn't worth my time. Now the biggest question is... what state should I go to next?

New York is one of those places where you have to be ready for it. There's all types of terrible, impatient people. If you're lucky you might find some good friends. Also, It's really expensive to live here.

Some places that come to mind as being up and coming/reasonable, yet still fun: Portland, Maine Asbury Park, NJ Detroit/Ann Arbor, MI Pittsburgh, PA ...I hear Asheville, NC is nice, but has gotten a bit pricey, plus, you'd be down there, in NC. Too bad they can't move Asheville to Vermont, or something, maybe combine it with Burlington.

Guest
NYC tends to be a good place for people who have no idea what to do with themselves. I lived in Manhattan for half of my life, and NYC taught me that 1) Big city people are fucking obnoxious 2) When I settle down I want a fucking yard 3) Anything bigger than say, Columbus is too big, etc Either you eat NYC, or NYC eats you and spits you out. New York STATE? lmao i dont fucking know hahah
