Rukh Whitefang Posted November 13, 2015 Share Posted November 13, 2015 The entire midwest had a huge wind storm come through today. Had gusts up to 60mph with sustained winds 35-40mph. Lake Michigan roared to life with 20 foot waves and the rivers that feed the lake flowed backwards. I've never seen anything like that around our waters.Those are basically a modern lighthouse, except instead of a light its a loud horn. The third picture down, thats a pier you can walk out on. The break walls form an artificial harbor to 'break' rough waters so ships and boats can safely enter calmer waters and get to shore.
