Kalmor
So I've had a poke around in the modCP and it seems like this is the case. All infractions/warnings are just called "warnings" with points assigned to them. In our case a warning will be considered a 0 point warning, an infraction being anything above that (1 point warning, 2 point warning, etc). There are three different types of bans (all can be temp or perma):- Moderate posts (basically Coventry) - I don't know if the user is alerted that this is happening. If someone can guinea pig for me here, that would be great.- Removal of posting privilages - Revoking access to the site. (I've heard reports that this also currently acts as an IP ban even if you're signed out)Bans also have to be accompanied with a "warning" (doesn't matter how many points it is).It also seems like there isn't a publicly viewable notice that a person is banned. I can go on the user's profile and see the restrictions there but I don't know if you, the users, can see that too. I've already poked @Carenath about it to see if there's a fix. ChaosCalix
You can test out the "Moderate Posts" option on me, if you want. I don't really have anything to lose if it does something crazy.
Wolflich
I can only see the 'warning points' on my own profile.

ChaosCalix
Alright, here's what "Moderate Posts" does :3Edit: Here's what it looks like after posting, as a user, for those curious.Edit 2: And since I forgot, this is what it looks like on my profile: Edited September 26, 2015 by ChaosCalix

Good to know!edit: Also seems like an email is sent whenever any moderation action with regards to warnings/bans is applied. ChaosCalix
Update:Just noticed, I did get an email telling me about this. It tells me the post I received the warning for, who gave it, the penalty (in this case 0 points + content moderation for an indefinite period of time), and an extra note (in this case just saying "Test")So it does give sufficient information from the looks of it.
ArielMT
Edit 2: And since I forgot, this is what it looks like on my profile: It returned to normal after Kalmor lifted the approval requirement AFAICT.
ChaosCalix
It returned to normal after Kalmor lifted the approval requirement AFAICT.Mhmm. No trace of it on my end either.
ArielMT
Mhmm. No trace of it on my end either.Even though we're notified of posts in the mod queue, we're not notified when warnings are revoked, and we're not notified by email when warnings are given. Carenath will have to tweak the audit trail settings if it's possible.

Carenath will have to tweak the audit trail settings if it's possible. Also when I revoke a warning the only things I can do are "delete" (just removing it from the logs, not reversing it) and "revoke and delete". It doesn't seem like there's a "revoke" on its own.
PheagleAdler
I assume temp expires on its own and permanent will only expire if it is revoked by a mod?

FlynnCoyote
Does it still make a cool hammer sound when you drop that fateful click?
Sidewalk Surfboard
Huh, that's interesting to see how it works on both sides.
