Gryphoneer
And are you going to acknowledge my point that it reeks of an ethnocentric agenda to hyperfocus on the sexual crimes committed by those with a background of migration and at the same time roundly ignore the same sort of crime committed by nationals of [insert Western state here]? Do you admit the social reality crimes committed by people who don't look like you and me have a much bigger media echo than those committed by fellow whitebreads? WolfyAmbassador
This thread became disgusting, because certain people who post here make excuses for Islamic culture way too much by using the same derail tactics in the conversation over and over again. Vae
Jesus christ, it's like Tumblr all of a sudden up in this bitch. "NO BUT MAH POCS PRECIOUS CINNAMON ROLL POOR MISUNDERSTOOD BABBI CANT DO NOTHING WRONG LETS BLAME THIS ON WHITE PEOPLE SOMEHOW!" Even if white men are committing a bunch of their own crimes, we should still be looking at this kind of behavior with concern, because it's disgusting. Yes, it should be criticized. YES, we should be picking apart and analyzing how things correlate from Point A to Point B. Sometimes, yes, that invites the criticism of beliefs and cultures. But extremism on either side of the fence is bad. Extreme racism or extreme inaction. People should just be trying to figure out how to prevent this horrible kind of shit from happening.
Zeke
It's extreme inaction that creates a precedence that "Well if we do that, then we'll be like the racists in the US". I feel that Germany should be firm and perhaps a bit more heavy handed in how they deal with the sexual assaults both from the natives and the refugees. As for covering it up, that's just as bad as what Trump is doing get the racist masses foaming at the mouth and digging out their great grandfather's noose and whatnot. It also tells it's citizens that the government are okay with what the perpetrators are doing by preying on citizens. Racism and extremism out of fear and paranoia isn't the answer here.

Boy, sure got Realsatire in here. Would you be so kind as to point out where, exactly, I said the incidents didn't happen? Where did I state the harassers and rapists of migration background were somehow misunderstood and that somehow excused their crimes? Where did I hypothesize white people had mincontrolled them into harassing and raping? Here, let me give you a printer and some markers, so you can underline where I said that. Oh right, I never claimed any of that! My point was and still is, which I already laid out above and you conveniently ignored, that it's a problem of proportion and stereotyping. Not only do certain camps falsely claim the refugee population is the main source of sexual assault in Germany, denying there's ten or so native perpetrators of asault for every foreign criminal, but they also place them under general suspicion for being a monolithic horde of rapists. Listen to yourself, if you defend this thinking it's like you support Trump's "all Mexican immigrants are rapists" campaign. This literally is the same deal, just with another ethnic group in the spotlight. So, "people should try to figure out how to prevent these horrid crimes?" "Germany should be firm?" Well, news flash: one of the first to respond to these incidents were the Greens and the Linke, a far-left party. They demanded stronger No Means No legislation, strengthening the legal protections of women. In other words, socialists and feminists - the same group that video by a Gamergater demagogue our sage Mr. WolfyAmbassador posted insisted would go out of their way to apologize any wrongdoings of Muslims - vehemently committed themselves to action against sexual assault perpetrated by Muslims or anybody else. But here's the thing, if we lose sight of the fact this isn't an exclusively Muslim-based problem - like, again, the Islamophobes spin brigades try to make the world believe - we will end up in a situation where this kind of shit will actually still happen. Why? Because then the laws will be written on racist premises and ethnic profiling will lead to white-on-white sexual assault becoming invisible. Just like it's less likely for a white guy to be shot dead by the cops in the States, it's less likely for a white guy to be charged and convicted of sexual assault here in Germany. If we make the wrong choice at this crossroads, this will stay the same. I don't want this, I want all rapists be punished. Do you?

Having a Tumblr does not exclude me from criticizing Tumblr culture. The fuck is even this argument? Lol. Guys, I forgot I wasn't allowed to reference furries saying stupid shit because we're on a furry site! Whoops! Also, literally my singular, entire point was that people shouldn't be going "NO, BUT THE WHITE MEN...," just because there's a discussion of morality as it may or may not apply to certain demographics and belief systems. That's it. That's the entire thing. Keeping one's self open to criticizing both sides of the argument. The racists are bad. The apologism is bad. Both sides are bad. Extremism is bad, kids. Also I shouldn't need to explain hyperbole as a writing mechanism, so I'm not gonna bother addressing that. Clove Darkwave
I think this is what the new modern tinfoil hat behavior is.
