VGmaster9
Title is self-explanatory. What kinds of fantasy and science fiction elements would your furry setting have?
Xaende
I've always been fond travel through space, time, and alternate dimensions. Imaginatively looking into the future or the past, Interacting with sapient beings from parallel universes etc.

Victor-933
My setting is heavy into military sci-fi with a dash of space western. I try to keep it at least half-way believable. Really, the only major ass-pull is the method for interstellar travel: brute-forcing your way into a whimsical and exotic "sub-dimension" ("MicroSpace") where you move at an exponential rate relative to your position in realspace ("CommonSpace") while still technically not violating the law of relativity somehow. I've been working on, among other things, a glossary: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20111759/
Conker
The one book I wrote was pretty low fantasy to begin with, though the further it went, the more fantasy elements showed up. Played around with sacrifice--in order to perform a spell, something must be sacrificed, be it the self, some kind of reagents, or what have you. In one case, ritualistic cannibalism created zombies that could be controlled and directed.
FlynnCoyote
I use both. Technology is reasonably advanced, but a lot of it requires magic energy or input to function. It evolved from a society basically dependent on magic onto a society better able to harness it via technology on a more widespread basis.
