It is strange to see graphic designers adapt such a blocky style. Looks kinda amateur'ish to be honest. Hopefully the gameplay makes up for it, though based on trailer, I don't have high epxectations

Also, laughed at "armed to the teeth" and seeing a literal fox swing a sword with his mouth

I don't really get the appeal of "animals swinging weapons with their mouths", it looks like a gimmick to try to make their game unique more than anything else, and just comes off as goofy to me.

I also don't think the art style fits the subject matter well. That kind of blocky style can work well for games were most things are already blocky and mechanical (like Planetary Annihilation, for example), but with animals and nature it just looks ill-fitting and kind of lazy, where a more realistic or organic artistic style would have been more fitting.

WHY

A fox with a sword might be cool if it were like playing Lion Sora in KH2. He was strangely mobile and could still kick butt with the keyblade in his mouth.

In this the combat looks a bit stiff and I don't like the voxel art.

It can make for some interesting looking combat I think
