Frig
I don't even know where to start. Normally, I could care less as it's not my business and as long as I'm making bank, I don't really care. But when it's beginning to disturb me and my clients then there's problems. About three years ago my boss hired a woman (I use the term "woman" loosely) named Kami. She looked a bit disturbed; really crazy bright red hair, crazy eyes, ass chin and 3 hairs on it to give it that flair. No big deal whatever. I'm not gonna be shallow, she may even be really good. The first day in she comes to work not wearing any underwear, a skirt and 12 inch heels, she takes a tumble and WAM ass..everywhere...I'm still trying to get that image out of my mind. She works in a salon and does not even do hair so we have her cleaning and she can't even do that right. What she CAN clean properly is our backroom refrigerator cause she steals other peoples lunches. I caught her personally stealing my lunch and recorded her on my phone. She was humming the "Beef, it's what's for dinner" song while stealing my lunch (cause apparently humming makes you discreet) and while I was recording her she thought the whole thing was a fucking comedy act and was laughing and eating my lunch right in front of me while I was recording it. Over the months she has done an array of stupid things, I can't even list all of them. One time a client asked for a trash mag (obviously referring to a Penthouse, no I'm just playing wit chu..A gossip mag...probably one about the infamous reversed sex change) and I told Kami to get her a "trash mag" jokingly, and she proceeded to literally dig in the garbage can for magazines. Now the problem is for some reason it likes to follow ME around, It won't hang around any other co-worker. So when it decides to eat an entire pack of gum and bitch about how bad it's stomach hurts, I have to hear it. When it watches me do hair to LEARN and my clients think it's overseeing my work cause it looks about 30 years older than me, and then makes jokes pretending to be my manager and comments about my haircuts being 8 inches uneven in front of my clients (to, which, one of my nicest clients in the world who works for "Make-A-Wish" called her a POS to her face)..It affects ME, no one else. "Well Why isn't it fired?" Cause, simply, my boss (possibly) doesn't want to pay it unemployment. But it's a problem cause it directly affects me and a BIGGER problem cause it affects my clients. End Rant.
Zytan
A shame attempting sabotage would more than likely end up with your head on the block Have you made it clear you're not keen on her to her face? I'm guessing you just don't have the heart to shun her unlike your other coworkers who don't seem to suffer from her

Conker
Not sure how unemployment works, but if there's a solid reason for termination, does a business have to pay it? I mean, you caught her steeling. That's one of the big ones for "fuck off." Doubt she'd get to claim unemployment for being fired for that.

The only times I've ever seen someone like that last at a job is because they are blowing the boss. A little head makes big problems seem trivial. Guest
She sounds like a stupid bitch. Met people that weren't as annoying but still equally undisciplined
Endless/Nameless
I see this all over town. People that nobody likes and don't do good work never get fired or reprimanded, and get all the perks. I don't know why. Sometimes i think they're afraid someone will be a dick and throw a ludicrous lawsuit saying that they were fired because....they were a woman or something 4 hours ago, #00Buck said: Whatever you do don't Imagine a pair of garden slugs slithering their way up a banana that's been sitting on the kitchen counter for too long.

All the female employees and managers expect me to conform to every male gender stereotype going. That's their excuse for getting me to do work for them that they are perfectly capable of doing on their own. Equality right?
Vallium
That sounds absolutely horrific, omg. Just...they cant be that incompetant Is there absolutely no way to appeal that, you have video evidence and everything. And cant you look for another better job or something? Not firing that employee is creating a hostile work environment and that puts the employer at 100% liability. This makes sense.
DevilBear
Oh my fucking god. I feel your pain. I know your struggle. I work with a "that guy" too. I amso, so, so sorry.
Astus
Don't worry you're not alone; our lovely coworker goes to the bathroom every ten minutes and takes 15 minute (paid) breaks whenever she can... and finds every excuse in her power not to be present in the store. There are just those people who are jerks
Clove Darkwave
I have this problem because my boss hates the hiring process, I can sympathize. I never thought I'd seriously have to teach someone how to process a cash transaction.
DrGravitas
The states I'm familiar with do not pay out unemployment for firing with cause, voluntarily quitting (except under certain circumstances that are generally defined in state-specific protocols) among others. Frig
UPDATE: So, as usual, she stuck to me the whole day. At one point she went up to me and a client, pulled her shitty flip phone out and shown us her generic wallpaper of a mountain side that came with her phone. She proceeded to tell me "See that? That's my backyard, could be you *pointing to me*, it's called hard work". So the day ends, it slows down and she's cleaning shelves..The boss's son tells me to take over for her and she can go home..This was the dialogue that ensued.. Me: ill take over for you, you can go now. Kami: But I'm cleanin! Me: Kami...I'm taking over, go home log it out. *stops what she's doing and proceeds to pace and mumble to herself making weird faces.* Kami: ummm...Ya think I can stay logged in and watch you clean? Me: *to the boss's son* Get her the fuck out of here! Kami: whadya meeeean get me out? Me: go home. Kami: whadya meeeean go home? Me: means go home...Now walk out the door before we throw you out the door, Casino style. That said, after she left it looks like she if off the schedule!
