Derin Darkpaw
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/syrian-refugees-in-canada-got-housed-in-same-hotel-as-vancoufur-furry-convention-and-the-children-a6921341.html So the hotel that was housing Vancoufur was selected to temporarily house Syrian refugees while the convention was ongoing. Turns out many of the children of the refugees really enjoyed it and everything seems to have worked really well. Its nice to see people get together like this, but man that must have been one hell of a culture clash.

willow
I wonder how it must feel to be fleeing from a war torn country and one of the first things you see when you arrive to your place of asylum is a bunch of nerds in animal costumes

Rabbit Head
It may only be a fleeting moment of happiness for the two parties, but it's pretty fucking cool. I don't think the good relationship will last very long tbh. If they ever learn more about furries, especially the sexual aspect of thefandom, things will turn sour fast.
