Strongbob
Have you ever wanted to plaster your walls with furry porn but were concerned what the neighbors may say? Well fear no more! Feminist artist Irena Jurek currently has an exhibition at Mass Gallery which has been described as “ X-rated bizarro zootopia” with all sorts of furry characters in revealing erotic positions. Much of this is pretty cringeworthy to me, but apparently it’s fine art, so what do I know. I guess the next time you browse porn on FA you can justify it knowing that you may just be looking at fine art.
Saxon
Raqib shaw makes some similar work, but it's more refined: Beth Cavener strichter makes fantastic sculptures which furries would like None of this is blatantly erotic. Libido is an element of these two artists' work, but not the main theme. Their main theme is being awesome.
Liovaire
You know I think it's the copious amounts of glitter that really elevate this piece from "trashy fetish pic" to "fine art" Hmm yes, Very deep and meaningful.

A lot of celebrated contemporary art is pretty naff.

Saxon
I am looking at more of Jurek's art and it is absolutely terrible from a technical perspective and an erotic one. :\ It's just no good.

Although a gallery show of furry nudes could be quite entertaining.
weirdfox
The fact that she gave herself an official title of "feminist" makes me really doubt her sanity For me, that art is a bit.. to out there. I prefer more, subtle, teasing artworks. I won't post links what kind of posters we have in the house, but mostly just teasing so to speak Stuff like Beth Cavener, now that I would love Oo

Anyway, there definitely should be some furry fine artists, because the repression of our inner animal is an inexhaustible subject matter. They seem to be made out of cut up car tyres and strips of rubber...you could probably make some neat fursuits using the same method. Take a 6x10' canvas, paint it one shade of red, claim the red represents the death of children by ISIS, and some rich dumbass will pay $1 million at Sotheby's for that shit. This is what you get when you give participation trophies to all kids, all the self-esteem bullshit of telling kids their all special, and art classes where kids do finger painting and they're told they're masterpieces. Then these liberal-arts kids go to some pretentious east coast liberal art school, shit out some crap, and everyone asspats them and refuses to say anything negative because they don't want to be mean. Caledonian
As an art and culture student, i too agree modern art is weird. But mind you,.furry characters in art is not a new phenomenom!
