I dont claim to be an expert so take what I say with a grain of salt but I kinda like how the blank outline makes it pop a little bit. I usually refrain from using outlines...I don't know why though. So I have deliberately avoided colouring any image I develop further to match anybody's fursona, because I want to keep the option of commissions open for the spring. That's a tricky question actually, because I don't want to deter people from ordering completely new work. It also doesn't sound like a very good deal for me, because I will have done the same amount of work to produce the painting overall, but be offering a discount in exchange for a progress shot, which is something I will always offer buyers anyway. I will probably charge the same for an upgrade to a full painting as I would for a fresh full painting, and if people opt to upgrade existing art they will do it under the proviso that they understand it will get finished more quickly, because the bare bones have already been finished or because they know they already like how the preliminary sketch looks.
