So apparantly all you need to do in order to post underaged anime characters to FA is to paint them blue.

The image in question

Trouble ticketed this on FA, they refuse to do anything about it because the character's been turned into a smurf.

"We do allow small chested adults. Do you have any evidence this character is a minor?"

*links to Avatar wiki, which states the character is underage*


"The character isn't drawn in canon though, so canon rules can't apply to it as it's so different."

"The character looks completely different in style. as such you really can't compare the two."

 

I feel like I've been taking crazy pills.

I mean the artist has a definite style where they clearly know how to draw a properly proportioned adult figure, this particular user has had at least half a dozen previous images pulled for using underaged characters, and the second Avatar series has renditions of the same character as an adult. To my eyes that's an underaged character drawn underaged, but colored blue.

I kind of do. It shows up in the Transformation category, and because there's no "OBVIOUSLY UNDERAGED CHARACTER" tag attached to the art, I can't use the FA filter Chrome add on to get rid of it. With this particular user it's like a 1/3 chance that he posts something decent, 1/3 chance that he posts something I dislike but don't find offensive, and 1/3 chance that he posts TF stuff of underaged characters.

 

Same way I end up looking at and reporting all the photomanips with their dicks out that show up in the Transformation category. There's no way to outright block objectionable stuff (especially if the uploader doesn't bother to use the tag system.)

Again, who cares? It's just a fantasy. It's not real, nobody's getting hurt. Judge all you want, but people don't choose what they're attracted to. Just be happy they're keeping their proclivities to the Internet and not real life.

Pretty much this. People can't really help what they're attracted to, so better they get it out of their system with drawing instead of real kids. Also this topic has been discussed before, and a lot of people agree that oftentimes their more "extreme" fantasies don't really translate to real life. Kinda like how a lot of people into feral porn probably don't wanna fuck real animals, people into castration/neutering aren't gonna really go and get their balls chopped off, people into cub porn usually won't go out and molest a real child, etc etc. If this were the case I feel like this sort of thing would be a whole lot more pervasive.

I think a lot of people are missing the fact that "getting something out of your system" does NOT require you to post it to the public.
I know we're in a fandom where some people think taking a shit in public is appropriate, but this really should not be this hard of a concept to understand.

On the plus side, I suppose it provides a nice, huge red flag on who to avoid.
But the point still stands.
