The flammable hydrogen airships are long gone, they stopped making them in the states in 1922, but since sauerkrauts still had hydrogen in their precious Hindenburg suddenly people have the idea all of them are prone to burst into flames. By the late 30's commercial hydrogen inflated airships were history. If you want to make a safe airboat you make it with helium instead. It's been the fashionable thing to do for a long time. Drawback with Helium filled floaty boaties is that the payload, or weight it can carry is less so that its hydrogen counterpart. About half of it. Also helium is much harder to come by in such quantities so it's more expensive, so it's not exactly cost efficient.

Luka
I've always thought those airships from fantasy were so cool. But I'm terrified of heights. So it doesn't really matter to me. I'd never willingly board one.

Khaki
I'd imagine having airships as a form of yacht cruise will provide a niche market for tourism and may be worth the initial investment. 11 hours ago, Mikazuki Marazhu said: have anyone played Red Alert: Yuri's Revenge? These beauties are OP as fuck "Kirov Airship Reporting" They were pretty OP during the earlier part of WW1 when zepplins were able to perform bombing raids on cities with minimal causalities due to early aircraft being unable to reach the same altitude as an airship, German Airship crews used to leave their parachutes and Maxims behind to add less weight to allow them to quickly escape such threats, which later worked against them when they started being shot down as technology advanced.
