Like a lot. As in I need to like go to a fucking hospital because I can't move my fucking leg.

Long story short my nerves are absolutely fucked and my entire leg is currently switching between complete burning agony and horrific, stinging pain. Like, 10/10 levels of pain.

Thankfully my arms are okay for now but I just need something to keep my mind off this fucking pain while I wait for my dad to grab some vicodin since that's literally the only thing that's worked.

Also the specialist I've been trying to see for over a month, decided to take a nice 2 week vacation you stupid Pakistani fuckstick.

GODDAMMIT FUCK!

If you have their number, you can always call and scream at them in an attempt to take your mind off the pain.

Hopefully it's not something chronic. Be well please!

Try raising the issue to a higher authority, if it's at all possible. In the end my mum contacted the mayor of an Australian state and told them she was seeing a lawyer. The government was at fault in our situation. Next day she gets a phone call and free flights to someone who can diagnose her properly.

This is the US.

They're a private practice and have literally zero obligation to do anything.

Not to mention the time it would take for my message to reach any kind of authority (assuming they even read it), would be way longer than if I just waited the 3 fucking months or so.

Government ain't gonna help.

Given the duration and symptoms, that seems like a pretty good guess.

I wouldn't be surprised, it sounds like what I've been dealing with every day since Oct.

Try applying a heating pad to key areas of the nerve and see if there's any improvement. Also fiddle with your sitting position.

Could just be your Sciatic Nerve (Sciatica).

This.

My dad went through this exact thing. He had a few slipped discs and in his case it turned into intense pain in one of his legs. Compression on the sciatic nerve was the culprit. Fortunately he was able to improve his condition and eliminate the pain altogether. But I could see that the pain was unbearable. Apparently it was constant. Day, night, standing up, laying, didn't matter. At its worst he could barely sleep.

If this is what you're dealing with Pastry, I'd recommend you to work on improving the tonus of your lower back. My dad started doing this in his early 50s after multiple lumbagos and a compressed sciatic nerve. It worked wonders, now his leg pain is a thing of the past.

You ever been in a car accident or anything else that could have caused this?

Or did it just start up by itself?

Nope, 100% spontaneous.

Like it's not just my leg either, but my elbows and my wrists too. Same exact shit, except that shit makes me have to leave work early.

I can walk now though so hey, progress.

Do you work out or exercise on a regular basis?

Are you overweight at all?

I'd consult a doctor but exercise and building up muscle would be a good way to change the way your bones are resting on nerve endings

Nerve endings reside in the skin: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_nerve_ending

I have no idea bout the credibility of your suggestion. I think Pastry is, fortunately, already in consultation with a doctor.

Every part of your body has nerves. Even your bones are full of nerves. But when your bones rest upon or pinch nerves that's when really bad things happen.

Developing muscle tissue can help change things.

Still haven't seen a doctor yet?

I saw my normal doctor, but they just choked it up to tendinitis.

But they also referred me to a specialist once I basically told them to fuck off when they said to just put an ice pack on it.

Now said specialist is on vacation.

Hunt him down, stuff him in a heshin sack, and drag him back from vacation.

Or harpoon him.

Not every portion of the body is fully innervated, for example the liver has no nerve endings. http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/about-cancer/cancers-in-general/cancer-questions/what-are-the-effects-of-liver-cancer

Bones can pinch nerves. This is not the same as them 'resting on the nerve endings'. Nerve endings are like the twigs at the crown of a tree, whilst a pinched nerve is more like a constricted branch.

I can find no mention that increasing muscle mass treats pinched nerves ( no idea if it is right ); the treatments described include physiotherapy, pain medication and surgery.

Dude I know more about this than you.

Trust me. Exercise is essential. But yeah you can mechanically change the structure of the body through surgery but that's really dangerous, painful, and generally just kicks the can down the road for a few years and then the problems come back.

Your bones typically have no nerves to speak of. When you break a bone, it's your muscle nerves reacting, not your bone.

I've pulled the pins out of my own wrist and hip. You feel nothing at all. Not inside, not outside.

Not true. Bones have a surprising amount of nerves.

Bones do have nerves in them, but not all tissues in the body have nerves in them, for example the liver does not. Hence you have both demonstrated a limited anatomical knowledge.

So neither of you know enough to diagnose the problem, recommend treatment plans or provide prognosis.

Even a legitimate doctor, who was not simply bullshitting to the highest degree, would not be able to do that based on the limited information provided by Pastry.

So can you guys stop?

You're fucking lucky. My tail bone to my knee has been getting a sharp and sudden pain for the last three months.

And all I got is fucking Band-Aids.

...a full furry tail is about to erupt and your legs are going to turn digitgrade. D:

Honestly though, I hope the feeling abates.

What is this, the pain contest?

Some guys get all the luck, I was born with glass bones and paper skin. Every morning I break my arms, and every afternoon I break my legs. At night I lay awake in agony until my heart attacks put me to sleep. In fact, this post being typed is coming from an assistant who is interpreting my constant screams of agony as words for all of you to comprehend as written words
