FA is a malware farm. Why the fuck would you jack your jimmies off to porn on FA, then get the malware STD on your computer?

The only reason I use FA anymore is to reroute traffic to my other galleries, and to occasionally signal boost shit or donate some cash to some struggling fur, and even when I'm on the site, the following are ALWAYS enabled (and I will NEVER pause them or whitelist FA, ever):

Children these days... You know, when I was 16, every time I visited a certain type of website I had to reconfirm that I was born in 1921.

You had scroll the box uphill both ways and they didn't have these fancy chocolate-chip-whatsit things to remember you data. You had to track your users by hand, using a slide rule and miles counter that incremented no matter how many times the same visitor was reconnecting to your geocity. So anyways, the point is you guys are spoiled and on my lawn again. Now, when I was 78 I would get with my gopher (which was the style at the time) and enter the ip address by hand. We didn't have the fancy hyperlinks you have today, those came about during the great information drought of 19-dickity-two. Hyperlink was the greatest thing we'd seen since the invention of the packet switching network that beat off the message switching network (which was the style at the time.) We only had Hypercards in those days, which were a lot better than the flashcards you still use in school. That's why you generation isn't ever going to go anywhere; you education is still stuck in the dark ages. So flash cards were OK, but flash is an abomination. I miss hypercards, Myst was my favorite stack. Now, in those days, you had to manually arrange the stack and pull the next card out the sequence. It was a lot like punched cards, except it was hyper. If you ever misplaced a punched card (we called them punchers, which was the style at the time) you may as well have thrown the whole stack  of punchers away and started over. Of course, you couldn't do that on account of the shortages caused by the war, so you had to mentally step through your puncher logic and figure out where the missing puncher was supposed to go. Numbering the punched cards (we called them punchers, which was the style at the time) wasn't invented until the following winter. So anyways, the point is you guys are spoiled and on my lawn again.

How does one get malware, even on FA? I mean I've always had adblock on but I figured that that's all one has to do to not get malware, even on sketchier sites in most cases.

There's other ways to get malware, typically through Javascript exploits, Flash or Java applets. But you usually don't have to worry much if you're careful not to visit sketchy sites. I used to browse FA without Adblock enabled, and didn't notice any malware... I also never use NoScript because I find it way too annoying to be useful.

But I don't understand Japanese either. The website has an English (as well as several other languages) version that translates all the necessary stuff. Its arguably easier to use than FA.

Their oh so friendly IMVU ads. There was some screenies floating around Twitter of some ad trying to download shit onto the person's computer without the person even interacting with it.

Scriptsafe/Noscript gets annoying really quick on sites you don't whitelist, or ones you don't frequent, and it's REALLY fucking annoying on Tumblr (though great for those blogs that autoplay music, because fuck that annoying shit) Other than that, it does it's job.

Congrats on surviving for 18 years so far! That is an accomplishment that many never made every year.

Don't get too caught up in being 18, when you're 24 you'll be a very different person. Just enjoy yourself.

Can confirm. Would most likely punch myself from 6 years ago for being such a tool.
