Talk about what you think is our greatest achievement as a species, because why not. Personally, I consider it a tie between the moon landing and statistics. We are on this tiny spec in a universe that might be infinite and we can explain what is happening billions upon billions of kilometers away from our home. We have left this planet and landed on the moon, we are currently trying to figure out how to get to another planet. We built facilities that can recreate the conditions of the beginning of time and space as we see it today. But at the same time there are also other achievements that are just as important. Like eradicating deadly diseases through vaccination. Our medical capabilities as a whole are incredible these days! Then there is the internet and all devices that connect to it today. More people can connect today than ever before. The smartphone in itself is an amazing achievement as well. Call it overrated or a waste of time, but it IS without a doubt the most versatile consumer product that has ever been built.
