#00Buck
Well, got my first ever confirmed kill today on a trash panda on a rural highway. Now my front splitter is damaged and needs to be repaired. @Zerig tell your people to look both ways before they run across the highway. What is the biggest animal you've hit (by accident of course) while driving. I know someone who hit a moose once. They were lucky to be alive after that. The car was a total loss. They don't have thumbs to turn the pages. Surprisingly, semi intelligent animals like chimps have learned to recognize roads where cars pass by and when they need to cross one, they peer to both ways of the road and then run across the road if there is no traffic. Source Also, crows have other lookout crows on trees to warn them of incoming danger when they are scavenging. They will warn about an incoming car when they are scavenging on a road But yeah, those poor deers and moose never saw that car coming and their heavy bodies causes some serious damage to the car and could even pose a danger to the driver/passengers of the car. It's unfortunate that we have created such a dangerous environment for the animals in such a short time span and barely giving them time to adapt

Ieono
My grandfather actually used to hit small animals on purpose when I was riding with him. I was raised out in the wilderness so there were always things running out into the road. He is a bit deranged, I guess. But the sad thing is that because I was so young, I'd cheer him on when he was doing it. I personally have never hit anything, though. Crazy Lee
Squirrels, rabbits, possum, raccoons, frogs, mice/voles, birds. Mostly rabbits because those fuckers are emo suicidal and like jumping out in front of cars. Mother hit a deer once when I was riding with her, the car was fine besides a dent. @#00Buck how the hell do you damage your car, I've never damaged a car with an animal. And what's a splitter? I once hit a raccoon that was stupidly eating trash in the middle of the road. The thing didn't die but proceeded to climb a nearby tree like a beast and stare down at me. Apparently it was a demigod. Once decapitated a rabbit when my wheel hit it. Hit another rabbit, when I came back over to it, it sat there and stared at me, perfectly still, for a while. Then it decided to walk away, and got about 10 feet before just falling over and dying. Frogs, I see them hopping across the road after a rain but they're too small for me to see until I'm right on top of them, so I'm sure I have squished a few. Once a bird was in the road, it took off in front of me, bounced off the hood and slapped the windshield (no damage to the glass). Came back and found it twitching on the ground because it probably broke its neck. A raccoon hit something underneath the car (not the wheels), when I came back it was lying on its side and flailing the two legs in the air. Came back two hours later, wasn't moving but started flailing the legs again when I came up. Next day it was gone. Ran over a squirrel's tail once, it was fine but was flopping around in pain afterward. Next week the same guy, broken tail and all, was back in the road again in the same spot. Saw a dead coyote once, first wild coyote I've ever seen. Then saw its mate hovering in the grass nearby. I have stories. Socketosis
Last year I was driving 100kmh/62mph on the highway when out of nowhere a couple of birds darted out in front of me. One of them hit the front of my car and bounced upwards before falling onto the road behind me. There wasn't much I could've done at that speed. Anyway, I stopped and reversed back a bit to check on it. I couldn't see it on the road anywhere though. I assumed that it might've survived, but it still made me feel bad. Well the accident was so bad, that the impact actually flipped her car twice, and then into a tree. She had to go to hospital. By some miracle she only suffered a cut forehead, concussion, spinal bruising and whiplash. We got the stats of the kangaroo by emergency crews and wild life control a few days later.
