Fossa Posted December 23, 2016 Share Posted December 23, 2016 Packing to fly home to Traverse City, Michigan, to see my folks for Christmas...this will be the first time in two years since I have seen them---last time was when they were the sole witnesses at the Baltimore City Courthouse, when I married my mate, Dec. 8, 2014. So I'm both nervous, and excited, it's been so long. If not for $, we'd be a lot closer, I think, in a literal sense. Gonna fly outta Baltimore Christmas day, so may not be on much for a week, if at all...might even go dog-sledding while I'm up there, if the places are not booked! One of the questions is those verbose kind that tell you what the value of each constant in the formula is and what the result is if a value is different rather than giving the equation to integrate. But scale always gets me in certain games. I just find tower structures and unknown depths a lot more intimidating than the norm. On top of the fucking sounds when you're sea gliding and rapidly passing everything, it just makes my ears stick out and my hairs stand on end. Great game though. I've always been looking for that crafting game that suits me because the genre is cool, but most of the games put me to sleep like MineCraft, Terraria, and now StarBound 1.0 which I really liked in early access. :c But this game's pretty rad even though it's a bit rough technically still. I'm going to label the positions of specific features on their skeletons, and after all this spatial information has been collected, a computer program is going to sift through them in order to figure out what the leading modes of shape variation are in the bird scans. After the leading modes of variation are found, then a space can be constructed which plots those modes on its axes, and the individual birds will populate that space. The pattern of the birds populating different regions of the constructed space will let me answer questions such as whether Perching birds/ passerines occupy a conservative 'centre-ground' in the constructed space.
