Join the club friend, I got about an hour or so, and I ended up waking up at 7am, when my alarm was set for 8:15. So now I've got time to burn before class. I do remember a time my junior year where I was so tired that I tried to brew some coffee with my Keurig. I suddenly realized something was wrong but couldn't quite figure it out. I stared at it for about 3 seconds before I realized there was no mug and it was just pouring coffee into the base of the machine. That day was quite the adventure. Regardless coffee is it's own food group and one I require to survive.

So I looked into my spam email folder to see what the fuck kind of zoo has sprung up in there and one of them in particular stood out to me

just... the thought of a mail carrier stuffing a bunch of week-old mcmuffins in my mailbox is cracking me up

I'll be honest. I read this and started laughing for five minutes straight. I'd be concerned about waking up my roomates, but they're all ROTC and left for training at 5 am.

I am surprised you felt the compulsion to share that, @SirRob. x3

Oh god, I can't believe someone posted furry porn to that twitter account.

Furries. Ruining everything.

The furry porn isn't even the weirdest stuff that the Russian embassy twitter account is receiving!

I want to find the Saudi account now, and send them drawings of Muhammad. ;3

Coffee (and caffeine in general), has no effect on me at all. It just makes my heart beat faster.

I get this effect sometimes, as well: my heart will beat fast and I'll feel anxious, and then, I'll get really, really sleepy, say, an hour or two later. Not always, but more and more as time has gone on.

Speaking of coffee, I bought some k-cup pods from Death Wish Coffee (and some beans for a friend since I am making a christmas coffee basket for my brother). So far, it is smooth and rather tasty without any creamer.

It's also heavily caffeinated.

My keurig is literally my life saver. I've had it since freshmen year. There is a coffee k-cup called jet fuel. It's very very strong and heavily caffinated. You should give it a look! I'll look into the coffee you suggested. It sounds good.

I'll give it a shot next time I purchase coffee (Which will be in January or so).

My ex-coworker before she left gave us a Keurig as a goodbye present for us. My supervisor and I are the only ones that use it.

Ahhh lucky. My mom bought me mine as a going away/you'll need this to survive present.

If I drink a whole 5-hour energy I become wired and my heart beats pretty fast.

Half of one, and I'm fine, except I get thirsty and hungry after a while.

I can't solve this one stupid thermodynamics question that is in one of my assignments, nobody else in the class has done it either. I'm assuming it has something to do with using the formula for the ideal gas law. I got told to consider posting it on reddit but I am posting it here because I am sick of it driving me insane:

Question is as follows:

At the start of a polytropic process a fixed mass of gas has the following properties: volume: 5 cubic metres, pressure: 1.1 bars ,temperature: 870 kelvin.

At the end of the process the volume is found to be 2.5 cubic metres. Take the polytropic index n to be 1.3, the characteristic gas constant R to be 290 J/kgK and the specific heat capacity at constant volume cv= 720 J/KgK

Caluclate:

The mass of gas present

the final pressure

the final temperature

the work done during the process

the heat transfer during the process

the change in internal energy of the gas

I seriously doubt anyone who hasn't studied thermodynamics at some point will be able to solve let alone interpret the question. Anyone who does answer all of it it PM me and you'll most likely get tasteful giftart from me as thanks. This only the second question in one of two assignments and people doing A levels still bash my course as being the soft option.

Hi there friend,

I've taken thermodynamics for engineering and I've got a minor in chemistry so I'll do my best to help. I've worked out your problem and attached it below. However unfortunately for the life of me I can't remember how to calculate the mass of the gas. Though I know it'll be constant since it's an ideal case and polytropic. So for the last three values just multiply it by the mass of the gas and you'll get the answers you need. Please note that I ran with the assumption it was an ideal gas case! If it isn't let me know and I can re-do my calculations.

Not quite sure what that means, but I'm assuming a good thing?

Nah, it's just my job. Neither good nor really that bad, but slightly annoying because our new task management process unnecessarily breaks up our work items into half a dozen little pieces. It's bloated, slows down finding stuff and generally sucks. Another item was included so it's up to 14 now.

On an unrelated bright side, another person just called something I built "a beautiful thing"! Truely, that automated Excel Spreadsheet-builder framework is my greatest creation :V

So at that con last weekend I bought a few prints. The artist had a special for 3 of them. I'm having buyers remorse for the third one because it's animal girl hentai.

The thing is, I'm not sure what to do with it besides the obvious answer someone here would give, "Fap material". What do I do with it, hide it somewhere dark and pull it out and look at it once in a while?

I could put it on the wall in a frame. Don't know if the landlord would care, but what if mother or someone else came over? "And on this wall, is a bunch of naked booty." Nothing says creepy forever virgin like putting porn art on one's wall.

I seriously need to make a list of all the giftart I have made and get what I have done uploaded, I don't know why but I get the feeling someone on FA is going to accuse me of taking other's characters even though I got permission off each owner.

I'm not sure how bad art theft is on FA but I do know it runs rampant on deviantart to some extent.

Over 3 million people wrote the FCC in favor of Title II Net neutrality rules. It has been a hard fight, tooth-and-nail in virtually every arena and now the incoming administration wants to flush the last 3 years of effort right down the toilet.

Donald doesn't even know what net neutrality is; when a reporter previously asked his position he said 'well yes, I think that websites should present both sides of the argument,'.

He clearly thought net neutrality meant 'media bias online'.

As bad as that is, it's much worse that he's surrounding himself with people who do know what it is and are actively against it. We'd no doubt encounter significant roadblocks in other avenues such as congress as well.

There was a cryptic email in the morning "stay tuned for big news!" and so today's topic has been 'what could it be?' On this floor, we're mostly veterans of the company, so our cynical game has bern 'what is the most ridiculous, least impressive thing that would still be considered "Big News" by the center heads'. Suggestions have ranged from keyboard wrist-rests to visits by executives XP

So the CIA just announced that they think that Russia was behind hacks that may have influenced the US election.

Many people had previously claimed that believing Russia acted to influence the American election was a 'leftist conspiracy theory'. I gather that means they must now accept that the CIA is a...leftist conspiracy group? Well, okay, whatever you say.

Donald redressed this revelation by saying that he didn't trust the CIA because 'these were the guys who thought Saddam has Weapons of Mass Destruction,'.
By the same token, does this mean we shouldn't trust Donald because 'this was the guy who thought Obama was born in Kenya,' ?

It's funny, during the election the infallible Donald repeatedly complained about how the election was certainly, without a doubt, rigged against him by Clinton, but once there is evidence that it may have been rigged in his favor by the dictator he so idolizes, such claims are leftist conspiracies and there is no doubt the election was legitimate...

As has been seen before, reality for Trump is whatever benefits him the most, and he will be no different from the dishonest and slippery politicians that he railed against in the election (in fact, he is probably worse than most of them in terms of his lies and general dishonesty).

Not to mention the hypocritical hilarity of the new 'political martyr'.

At first the new right spent their time decrying Social Justice Warriors for being thin-skinned pansies, who felt like almost all situations were contrived with the aim to persecute them. (and they were right that some people on the left really did think like this).
Now that they have influence though, how does the new right respond to criticism? By claiming that there is a conspiracy theory of elite persons who are constantly out to get them, whether it is Climatologists, Star-wars or mother-fucking Kellogs corn flakes.

I think a big irony is that the salient points that the 'persecuted Social Justice Warriors' had were actually correct. There are still states where you can legally be fired or evicted for being gay. Black people are disproportionately represented in convictions, even when White people commit the same sorts of crimes at similar rates (like pot-smoking).
Some of the salient points of the new right were also correct, men for example are imprisoned for longer for equivalent crimes compared to women.

I feel like none of those matters, which are all of actual importance, are ever going to be discussed, because people will be too buys trying to decide whether their bowl of corn flakes is part of a conspiracy theory.
