i've had blips of ideas for pieces here and there, but today i feel like i've come across something i can really explore fully...this is exciting.

The nature of the revelation lies in the structure of it's statement...or something, idk. It's 6 am and i'm a little fried. As it happens something similar happened to me yesterday, i actually managed to feel out a song as opposed to just messing around with my bass like i usually do. I'm sick of not making what i'd consider actual music so i'm actually gonna push myself to keep with it and finish a piece for once.

I like how I naturally know the names of all the animals at my job since I work with them so closely and can immediately point the Vet techs in the right direction

"Where's Scooby?"

"The Papillon in the small kennel there"

"Who's Daisy?"

"This one right here"

"Which one's Izzy?"

"The boxer right here" *points* "No, no I mean in front of you"

"Martie?"

"The one on the far right end kennel"

Contacts =O

Ctacts are great. Been wearing them for years since middle school. Just make sure you care for them properly because the downsides is unlike glasses you can hurt your eyes if you dont

I wear them the vast majority of the time except when Im too lazy to stick fingers in my eyes when I could put my glasses on in half a second.

I started wearing contacts last year after having eyeglasses for around 22 years. My prescription for the glasses was -9.0 diopter which made them so heavy they made blisters on my nose over time, they also refracted colors differently when I turned my head (causing traffic signal lights to float in mid air and blurring computer screens if I didn't look them dead on). I'm never going back.

I feel like it's MOSTLY a vanity thing though. I just don't wanna wear glasses any more. I've never liked wearing glasses, I've never wanted to wear them. They hardly ever suit me. I never considered contacts before because my eye doctor said, when I was younger, that I'd never be able to comfortably wear them because my extremely fair colouring would make me too sensitive for them.

But I thought, maybe sometimes the professionals are wrong. And I'm not quite as fair as I was when I was a kid. And I thought, the only way to find out once and for all is to try these things. And I did, and so far so good.

It's been 5 hours today though and since I'm building up, I took them off and put my glasses back on now.

I've never understood how women are able to dance and shit while on their period without their pad / tampon falling off...

Uncover-Ostomy-confused-face.thumb.gif.5
Tampons go inside.
If you're dancing so hard that your tampon falls out, you might wanna see a doctor.

Apparently air conditioning is sexist. :l

What?

I use the AC all the time.
Stop cooling me down with oppression.

Do furries wipe their asses? I mean if they're like animals, wouldn't their asses covered in crap? I mean if their asses are covered in fur wouldn't it just kinda stick to it and sorta look like a chocolate chip cookie? This is a serious and important question.

I'd like to think they clean their ass with water.

I don't know that having fur is what makes the difference. In fact I think I'd rather share an elevator with an actual dog than a human with the personal hygiene of a dog.

That news story is old news. And its still just as mind-bogglingly frustrating to read now as it was then.

I try to avoid this sort of exceedingly dumb shit as best I can so some of these stories get to me later than usual.

And Chili if you don't get on Discord this week, I am going to preform slightly less than desirable physical actions upon your person, preferably involving blunt sporting equipment such as a golf club or cricket bat, that may or may not be legal under United States law.

Spotify has gotten worse than ever with it's fucking ads and it's like I can't peacefully enjoy music without having to be trigger happy and manually change songs myself or else the fucking annoying start playing and they're in fucking abundance now.

I don't even want to bloody use Spotify but it's free and I'm too broke to do any further record collection and my Macbook Pro doesn't have a built-in CD drive so I can't buy CDs anyway.

ffffffffffff

[scoots this in your general direction]

Unfortunately, whatever updates they've been doing allow the program to still show banner ad space (although it comes up blank, it just takes up interface room until I close and open it again).
But it gets rid of the audio ads.
Which is the most important thing.

@Kellie Gator: You could always get an extrernal CD drive.

I could except that also costs money and new music costs money too since i've been looking into some new stuff rather than the same old stuff I usually listen to.

".exe" is the word of doom for me, being a mac user and all. :[

Given that Spotify is still operating at a loss, I think the days of the free, ad-supported service may be numbered.

Would suck to see it go, since I enjoyed the idea of being able to listen to music free and legally.

I guess I should just get a jorb so I can afford to buy more music, though. :V

I've found that when I can't experience media for free I just ignore it altogether now. It's weird because growing up I always felt like I needed to see everything even remotely tolerable, like on the weekends I'd be hiring half the new videos in the shop, but now a new film or game or something comes out and makes the most money ever and everyone loves it but I just think meh I'll get around to it someday maybe.

Also can't think of anything I would tolerate ads for anymore.

For those who enjoy the news subgenre of "stupid things college students do", the ongoing story of the Wesleyan student government trying to kill off Wesleyan's nearly 150 year old student paper is truly amazing. I'm thinking of making a real post on the topic, but as far as I know the paper itself hasn't officially responded yet to the resolution that was passed yesterday.

i'm really starting to appreciate how much simpler it is nowadays to be able to find musical communities with how many professionals are starting to adopt social media.

even right now i get to see posts on my feed of new commissioned pieces all over the world, photos from various concerts internationally, and even sometimes just really really helpful articles/advice from various professionals.

it's really cool that groups like this on something as mundane as facebook. it's one of those great ways that music communities thrive in modern ages.

If I purchased every album that I've listened to I would be bankrupt.

if you're ever free, lemme throw some albums at you on plug and make you go broke further :>

This water-like substance fell from the sky the other day.

Californian legends speak of such a natural occurrence but we only hear of them in the form of tales from days long passed.
