Spot
Finally got my new toy. Not only did they send me the wrong color, they also sent me the wrong model (I requested the i9500) AND forgot to send the case. I'll be making a point of all of this when I leave feedback on their website. Not happy.

Crazy Lee
So, looking at MS office, and now they're selling it as a subscription. $99 a year/$9.99 a month.. You don't OWN M$ Office, you rent it. Which seems to be a trend in software nowadays. You can't just own something you have to rent it so that way the greedy company can keep getting your money. Libertarians are probably pretty excited about this. 19 hours ago, LazerMaster5 said: Don't go see The 5th Wave. Crazy Lee
Earlier today I was wandering around Jo Ann's looking for a specific fabric I couldn't find. But I found myself in a section that had the most amazing leather and brown fabric including wool with pinstriping... stuff that would be PERFECT for a steampunk outfit (or, with the black pinstripe, for a gangster suit). I was so damn excited and practically squealing. Also have seen a lot of cool goggles on ebay.

Phyllostachys
I spent last few hours strolling around in the Yangjae Flower Market. It was nice to check which plants were in the trend.... and I also impulse bought a Dischidia major and several tulip bulbs. I nearly bought a Phalaenopsis parishii as well, but they had mealybugs on them and scale/mealybugs are a no no for me.

Crazy Lee
Well that is strange. The former con chair of Motor City Fur Con, Indy, posted this rant on their Facebook page. Complaining about the MCFC staff being power hungry and greedy and ruining the con and not running it in the direction he thought was best for con. He said he was quitting the con and no one should go to the con, and should avoid it. Of course, his post disappeared but not after stirring up some minor drama, with other staff members of the con claiming nothing was amiss. I have no idea what's really going on. I have noticed quite a few upper staff members leaving the con. Sometime last year I think, possibly before last year's con, someone (Indy, maybe) claimed the con wasn't going to happen, but then the con was back on again. When quite a few people leave, and then someone claims the con is not happening, then it's happening again, that's suspicious. I didn't screenshot the post. I hope the con doesn't end as it's the closest one and it's pretty enjoyable.

GamingGal
So, mine and my gf's one year anniversary is this coming month and I've told her I want to plan whatever we do. It's the 26th, and I've no idea what I'm going to plan >.< Do I plan a fancy dinner? Book a super nice hotel room? Take her to a secret speakeasy? Book an overnight stay at the aquarium? Not to mention we're vegetarians, so fancy restaurants are hard to come by when it comes to dining options. Halp.

If you're looking for something more romantic/formal go with this one. It really depends on how the two of you define romance. For an anniversary this seems pretty appropriate while the aquarium is more of a "let's get out of the house tonight" thing.

Many laws like that were passed at a time where it made sense. No collecting rainwater to prevent the spread of disease and parasites for example. Other just as stupid sounding laws still exist, but they're not enforced, and the time and effort to repeal them is not worth taxpayer money.
