@Eggdodger this is not the career for you.

My college is well paid for, so aside from daddy issues I have no ambition to pursue this opportunity =v

I'm such a fucking nerd.. like a weeaboo, but with the military.

You could probably call me a... waraboo.

If you didn't know 200 different ways to kill me with your bare hands, I would make fun of you for that pun.

Pondering trying to start a local DC/Baltimore fur meet, for 'urban' furs, that one could reach via MARC train/Metro, if need be. Not many meets at all in these parts; the few that happen seem to be way, way out there from the population centers. I'll have to ponder some fun locations, and then ponder spreading the word on FA, &c. Would love to have a local meet, here...gets sorta boring, in a furry way, despite the city being very exciting/artsy and fun, otherwise.

I forgot if this place cares a great deal about bumping threads from a few months ago. The forum of I got banned from was pathetically fussy about it.

i routinely bump the tim horton and bitcoin megathread for important news about what food im eating, what things i like, and any other insipid thought that enters my head

I feel a little bad. In all honesty its really sad that someone would kill themselves over a fictional character. Assuming this is real, I'm sure that boy probably had some mental issues that stemmed far beyond this. Perhaps a bit of loneliness combined with social anxiety and depression.

I can't help but want to laugh about it though. The idea of it is still funny, even if the actual end result and reality of what happened is sad.

Though Heaven's Lost Property had sequels. My waifu is trapped in a single game with little hope of more content.

With all these puns flying around, this weekend some friends were talking about how once they put a tent inside another tent...

I said that sounded intense.... (in-tents).

...I'll show myself the door....

I knew there was a reason I never check that subforum.

I recommend joining both, and go from there. Better chance of finding an interesting convo going on.

Always knew those buicks were satanic...

Phew, I'm glad the Olympics is over...what an epic waste of money, and a bunch of rich countries showing off who can spend the most on training and steroids. Good riddance! *grumble, grumble, grumble* And that ass-hat US swimming guy Ryan Lochte, with the ( short lived, cancelled) reality show and an ego the size of Texas: what a total, self-entitled douche bag.

Currently making a list of books I wanna order, by a few authors: Brian Evenson, Robert Coover and Donald Barthelme. All a bit related, in that at points, they write an abstract, sort of 'meta fiction'; Evenson leaning towards psychological horror, Coover towards re-told Fairy tails that go bad, Barthelme more towards dark humor. All, 1960-present, except Barthelme, who died young. So kinda excited to start reading the books by them that I haven't, yet.

We only wanted our first Gold Medal to send a message to ISIS, so we let a girl win that and stopped right afterwards.

Silver and Bronze in the particular event you're addressing were both Chinese girls, as well, so take that as you will =p

There was a fix developed for a problem during this build. I didn't write it but was within my domain so I was brought on to test it in place of its developer for some reason. After a grueling, time consuming test-process marred by bottlenecks, ill-concieve processes, and terrible communication, I was able to formally show that this fix would not work and could not work with the system as current.

To make it work will require significantly more complicated changes and a holistic analysis of the entire workflow and any possible outcomes of this complex srt of batch-jobs. Challenges include being locked out of your account if you so much as query any of the tables involved.

I have just received word that I will be assigned this more complicated task, rather than the original developer.

I have come to the conclusion that receiving this assignment is entirely my own fault. Clearly, I need to strategically suck more :V

Oh, and I have been randomly selec... I mean, invited to spend my lunch surrounded by upper-management while they pretend to take our concerns so they can address. Again. But, hey! Free lunch!

The gun nuts were too busy going mouth frothing crazy worshipping at Trump's altar, while the mass shooters couldn't be found because, well, people have no idea who's a mass shooter until after they've spewed a swarm of bullets even though the signs are often clear as day.

Just finished Super Contra arcade. The arcade versions get a bad rep compared to the NES games, but I liked them a lot. They looked really stupid, but had great music. And the controls aren't bad. Aiming is analog, but it's not hard to adjust to it, I think. And spreader in Super Contra, my god.

Speaking of NES I never really found the NES Contra or old the Mega Man/X games to be super hard like most people say. When I think of hard NES platformers, I think of Castlevania III, Zelda II, Bucky O'Hare (PLEASE play that), and Ninja Gaiden. I'm stunned I beat the Ninja Gaiden trilogy, those were fucking brutal. But I remember my first time playing the old Mega Man games including X 1-3 after renting the collections as a teen. I breezed through all 11 of those games with minimal problems. Probably Wily 1 in Mega Man 8 and Kaiser Sigma the first time gave me the most issue. But Contra was seriously easier than Mario for me. Not easy games, but I wouldn't call them ultra hard...

Mario 3 was also ruthless.
