I went for a walk tonight and didn't get mugged, stabbed, shot, ran over, chased or beaten

I think I did pretty good, if I don't say so myself

Jeez where do you live?

I thought this could work out, but I guess I have to evict my roommate/ex. She's being hurtful and spiteful and I can't handle it anymore...I'm tired of coming home and feeling like the world's worst person.

i am proud

From what you said about the situation previously, I was sure evicting them was the best thing to do.

Is the time on the forum screwed up? Posts that were just made are showing up as "Posted 1 hour ago". Is it related to my system time?

Daylight savings time ends today, at least in the US, so that would be my guess. Expect some time weirdness as things switch over. You also may need to manually change DST timezone settings if they don't automatically adjust.

Ah, figures. Thanks.

I left my house to visit a friend, my sister didn't tell me she was holding an entire building (all two apartments, woo) Halloween party so I drove back. I got the most drunk I have ever been in my life, and yet I still don't know what it is about. I was dizzy but could walk just fine, could type without a single typo, and still had most of my mental faculties.

I never drink and yet have this crazy tolerance, what the hell.

The Irish are right up there with em :P

Well, of course they are, I should have clarified that the Slavic people most stereotyped as heavy drinkers are Russians. Poles are more stereotyped as, I dunno, eating cabbage and being assholes?

I am once again disappointed. "Sorry" has no meaning to me anymore, it's become so common for people to let me down.

So I've spent this day googling up cheesy quotes about disappointment, and searched the dictionary for pretty words to describe my feelings while waiting for a certain someone to appear online to keep a promise.

I mean how nice is it that there's a word that describes you perfectly and sounds good and fancy?

Crestfallen

Ugh, promisses. I hate them.

Than again, I have the memory span of a goldfish so I'm the best when it comes to promisses.

...it wasn't me who promissed you something... was it?

Wasn't you. Actually, I don't think I've talked to you in a while. Been too long then, so what's up?

Not much. Still unemployed, still poor.

My brother moved away (thank god for that), but just because life hates me, my mom was diagnosed with cancer in her left eye. She had a lot of surgery in the past six months, but it looks like her eye sight is improveing and the cancer is getting smaller (don't think of a big tumor or something, it's a small, water filled... something. Don't know how to describe it properly in English). I did almost all the chores around the house during that time, so my already bad health got worse, but you know, another thing to the pile won't mater.

Appart from that I get by. Still the same silent idiot as ever. :P

Why would you ever subject yourself to that? Drink Pepsi like a true American goddammit,

It's rum and Coke, not rum and Pepsi.

You can buy Vanilla Coke in bulk? What a world. That stuff was the tastiest soft drink, shame it's not sold here anymore. How does it go with rum, do you know?

Haven't had Vanilla Coke in ages, but I'd bet the vanilla would go great with a whiskey.

You speak my language. Whiskey, ordinary Coke, and maybe a little vanilla extract? It might be a close approximation of legit Vanilla Coke. And if not, at least there's still whiskey.

Only one way to find out. Don't think I've ever used pure vanilla extract in anything, but you can't go wrong if you just add it bit by bit until it either tastes good or tastes bad.

Well that's my Friday night sorted! I'll post results the day after. Curious how straight whiskey with some vanilla extract would taste too.

@MissFleece Ooh, nice! I had a great time at the con I went to as well. It's nice to hear about other cons held on Halloween too... Such a great time to have one, imho. :3
