Pretty much. The people that intentionally go for the effect just come across as deviants somehow. It's almost like the Uncanny Valley phenomenon or something, where artificially attempting to represent something human instead elicits a deep instinctive revulsion.

Unintentional stuff, however, doesn't have that stigma. Bob Ross is an example of unintentional ASMR. It didn't exist as a concept when he was on air; he was just such a kind, comforting, accepting soul that no matter what he was talking about it made you feel at ease.

There is an element of catchiness to it, but that 20 second intro and the furry lingo are just too much.

Unpopular opinion: I really didn't like Big Hero 6. It's a superhero story with death and revenge, except it's a family friendly Disney movie and the kid's like 10 years old. There was a lot of drama, but every time it felt like those elements were working against each other.

Apparently the only one in my state has been closed. These might be my new alternative though:

I stayed in one for 4 days and 2 surgeries a year and a half ago and I never felt better  I felt like I was at peace with the world, like some kind of fucking mountaintop guru. The only drugs I was on was heavy Tylenol so it wasn't that.

I had a nervous breakdown as soon as I got home tho
