So today was a fun day. Started off as a casual day at work, during which I found a dead bird. Poor magpie had met its fate, and was just chilling about under a tree...all nice and dried up.

Obviously I did what any sensible person would. I took it with me home and started tearing the guy apart.

"Oh but Coffee what the fuck is wrong with you, being hateful to birds?!" And the answer to that is nothing. I like skulls and I'd been looking for a bird skull for a while, unsuccessfully.  Now a whole, fairly clean carcass presented itself so I figured why settle for a skull when you can have the whole skeleton! Avian anatomy learning ahoy!

So I've spent today ripping off dried tendon and cartilage as precisely as I could so I can process the skeleton to make it a display piece in a frame.

Link to the guy (who was found in four pieces) is below as I bet I'd gain a lot of fans by embedding the source material on these forums :V

10/10 breddy nice

are you gonna boil the skeleton or whatever? it'd make a great decorative "sculpture"

Yeah, what was the method? Bleaching?

I can't taxidermy

bleaching is twice as bad actually. Soak them in soapy water for a while to get rid of flesh and bits, then have it sit in some mild hydrogen peroxide solution. Dry those fuckers up, arrange and frame. Simple enough

I am soooo tired. The task is nearly done. We're finally able to connect (and discover that the name and file format are different than originally told). However, a lead wants to switch protocols just as we're successfully got it. Our framework supports it, but getting the third party configured right has been the whole problem in the first place. Only 3 days left and we've not even gotten a full run.

But, thanks to the build schedule, it won't technically go live until the 5th so there's room for overtime (not that kind.) Yep, it starts running in Production on the 5th and then I disappear on 2 and 1/2 weeks of vacation starting on the 11th.:3

Anyone else ever search their username on google?

For me, the results are a mix of accounts by me and some other musician who goes by the same name. Right on the second page is this:

How flattering. Maybe sharing the same username between here and other sites wasn't a wise choice after all lmao

Mine just gives me a mix of my profiles and other people's with the same or similar names.

Also I found a lot of old threads from old friends I posted in and I revelled in nostalgia

I'm pretty sure it's the person who is adorable, though.

Thank you. :)

Hmm anyone know of a comic page by this description?

Quote

It's a four panel comic, in colour. Something about how people become furries?

One of the panel have a baby fox in a crib. I think the text in the panel is "some of us are born into it" and "why can't I have a normal child". Another panel have a fox and an otter. The text in that is something like "some of us are recruited" and "don't tell anyone". Another panel is about being converted.

Anyone else remember that comic? (And yes, I paraphrased on the texts a bit)

First three sites: Not a single account from me.

Mentions of 2 other Toboes, though (Toboe aka Sanguine and Toboe Wolfyote)

Apparently a Kosha is a thing in Hinduism.

The name I go by on FRETV and Discord gives me a lame U2 cover band.

I was walking back to my dorm once and found a squished squirrel

We have 2 red-tailed hawks that live on my college's campus (which is funny, as the hawk is also our mascot), so it is not uncommon to see them disemboweling squirrels around campus (I guess it is best to not post the picture with the bloody squirrel):

480726_4863003021286_1811852573_n.jpg?oh

They also don't really seem to posses even the slightest fear of humans, so they will fly right through groups of students to get to their prey and completely ignore the people who gather around to take pictures of them eating... apex predators I guess.

Also this is pee colour. Ew.

That means you should be drinking more water and eating less protein and salt.

So, seeing as how antique clocks seem to be my latest fixation, I checked out the half dozen that my grandmother has. The most interesting, to me, was one of the two kitchen clocks she has above her fireplace -- it has the original jeweler's sticker inside it, dated February 14, 1914.

People who act like this aren’t being unique. They’re carefully and deliberately crafting and maintaining a persona. Fuck people like this.

This is excellent stuff.  It would make a remarkable sketch comedy with Bill Murray.
